Post-Game 12 Thread: From Brat to Wurst

BREWERS 3, DODGERS 2 (10)

(Thanks to NicJ for the title inspiration!)

The Dodgers are still 0-for-outside Southern California after going the distance with the Brewers tonight. Matt Kemp and Ajellis got RBIs but Chris Capuano allowed a tying solo homer to Aramis Ramirez in the sixth. Still, Capuno gets the coveted QualityStart™.

The game went into extras, and the bottom of the tenth was a disaster. Don Mattingly brought in Matt Guerrier, who walked Jonathan Lucroy. Nyjer Morgan pinch-ran for Lucroy and took third on a stolen base/wild throw by Ajellis. Guerrier intentionally then unintentionally walked the bases loaded, and Ryan Braun hit a tall, shallow pop-up that Matt Kemp caught and gunned home — but Ajellis' tag was ruled late. Another walkoff for the Brewers.

Morning game tomorrow as the Dodgers look to salvage one. Hey, 9-3 still ain't bad.

I hope Sedin is getting suspended for that hit.

Shocking a goal for the kings is wiped out. That never happens

Kings are getting some great looks, but nothing's going in.

Couver at full strength.

Kings down 2-1 at second intermission. 20 minutes of hockey left.

The Warriors' court sure is bright.

Kings losing, dodgers lost, clips win, all I need now is for Bynum to blow out a knee to wrap up a craptacular day of sports.

The Angels are losing so ther is that.

If Kings tie it up, they will win. Carter needs to make an appearance.

It's like the opposite of last week.

Another power play for the Kings.

The main thing that worries me is this team showed last year is it can choke.

Losing this one pretty much guarantees it's coming back for a game 6

That was the loudest clang I've ever heard.

I blame NBC sports for making us watch the Vancouver feed.

NicJ said...

Now they start laying hits.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Good fucking lord.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Couver got a lot of lucky breaks.

NicJ said...

This will make the riot in Vancouver extra raucous when they lose at home.

Time to suck it up in game Five. We are a good road team. Someone send out a search committee for Jeff Carter.

NicJ said...

^check the bars.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

I predict Carter will have two goals on Sunday.

Sunday? Fuck, four days without a Kings game, that's going to be brutal.

Paul said...

That means 3 games of watching James Loney at the plate before the Kings are back on. .

NicJ said...

The dodgers could be 9-7 by then.

Paul said...

Uribe could be pushing 300 by then. 300lbs.

Well, tonight sucked. I knew all this winning by my teams couldn't last. I had hoped it would take longer than a week for the other shoe to drop, though.
