Who's up for another softball tournament? The park emailed me back today with their only available Saturday this season. Sadly it is not till Sept 29th. That will also be the last home stand for the Dodgers.
We're down, right? A tourney that conflicts with actual Dodger baseball might be a tougher draw, but should still be a blast!

As much as I want to be in, I can't imagine missing the last home stand of the season.
Technically, the game won't conflict with the home stand. Add a game at the Stadium to another tournament and I could be talked out of softball retirement*.
* fair warning: softball retirement was involuntary due to extreme suckatude. Though I doubt it matters since I am still in my drinking prime.
I think we've now established several things. Anyone who fits into the mold is a SoSG Softballah for life:
1) Sucks at softball
2) Can drink early and often
3) Denim optional
4) No practice
5) Trash talks opponents AND teammates with equal gusto
#5 is my specialty. I'm in, mofos.

The 29th will be a toughie. Might have to leave the glove at home and just work the mouth from the comfort of the bench.
I'll be doing the LA Triathlon the following day so I need to be fresh as a daisy for that. Definitely can't be hobbling around like I was the day after for round 1.
If its a normal Saturday game, with a 7pm start, with gates opening at 5ish we will have at least 3 hours after our elimination. But knowing our luck, people will forfeit us right into the championship!!!
