For Kirk Gibson's club, these are the games they need to win (and the Dodgers did). If Pittsburgh can take a game or two, they'll be adding some welcome insurance for a day when Matt Kemp's OPS drops below 1.500. Perish the thought!
Another match-up to keep an eye on is the Phillies and Giants, who are starting a 3-game set in San Francisco. Both teams are are 4-5, so, tragically, one of the two must come away at least .500. It's not too late to hope for a sinkhole to open up under the big phone booth, though.
