Game 99 Thread: July 23 @ Blue Jays, 4p

J Cap, get it?

Chris Capuano (3-6, 4.63) vs. Todd Redmond (1-1, 4.32).

The first-place Dodgers haven't lost in nine days, and are 4-0 since the All-Star Break (one of four undefeated teams since the break, along with the Rays, Orioles, and Mariners). So if there's any way to push the baseball gods about as far as they can go, it's by starting Chris Capuano, who won his last start (July 11, a 6-1 victory where Cap went 6.1 scoreless innings with 8 Ks), but hasn't lasted seven innings since May 18 (the only time he made it all year).

As for the Blue Jays, still playing on that shag-carpet-like worn astroturf: I guess they've got a diamond, and they've got nine men. So "let's play ball", with all the baseball gusto that Canada's last remaining MLB team can muster:

Oh man, I think I'm gonna puke.

Another J-Cap, get it?
