It was only one start, but Greinke's first outing as a Dodger inspired those of us who have been dreaming of someone to join Clayton Kershaw as the Dodgers' lethal left-right pitching punch. Of course facing the Pirates and Padres isn't a bad way to get started. Welcome back to the NL, Zack.

If Greinke does to the Friars what he did to the Bucs, the Dodgers can win their second straight series. But the bats will have to stop wasting so many damn opportunities with men in scoring position. We have confidence in Zack. The bats? Let's just say we need a little more convincing.

And don't even get us started about the bullpen. After Tuesday's implosion, the supposedly sturdy trio of Beli, Kenley & League gave up five singles and a double for two runs in three innings last night. Enough with the heart-attack pitching, guys.
