"I'mma getcha pitching AND hitting, brah!"
DODGERS 7, SNAKES 5
Although the scoreline reflects the fact that those of us watching this one had some very clenched buttholes by the end, this one was all Dodgers. Specifically, it was all Ryu, made even more special because Ryu's family was in attendance. In addition to having a gem of a night pitching (allowing three runs on six hits in 6+ innings while striking out nine to move to 2-1), Ryu went 3-for-3 hitting. The last Dodger pitcher to go 3-for-3 was Carlos Perez in 1999, per Ken Gurnick.
The noffense showed some signs of life (Gonzo home run, Kemp 2 RBI), but not enough for this blogger to get over-excited. We'll take it, though. More troubling was the phalanx of Dodgers "relievers" who did their best to keep the game too close for comfort.
Dodgers move to 7-4, half a game out of first. Rubber match tomorrow before the lads make their way back home to throw at Carlos Quentin's head.

Hopefully we'll hear a review of the game from Neeebs, who was there.
Two LA wins today. I almost forgot that Kobe doesn't have an achilles.

Great game. playoff-like hockey. Always good beating the Ducks. Richards played a great game. His GWG was a rocket. Quick was very good except for his goof that led to an easy shorthanded goal.
