Josh Beckett (0-2, 3.26) vs. Wei-Yin Chen (0-2, 4.00).
Since the Dodgers hadn't been back to Oriole Park at Camden Yards since 2002, Mother Nature wanted to make sure their first visit in 13 years was a doozy. Hence today's double-header, whose second game pits two hard-luck starters. Beckett had two starts in which he gave up three runs each over 6.0 and 5.0 IP, but his third and most recent start was a tough-luck outing with 8.1 IP and 1 ER, awarding Beckett the loss. Brutal.
Chen has also had three starts this year, the last two of which were both quality starts (6.1 and 6.0 IP, 3 ER each), but also both of which rewarded him with losses. Both starters go out there tonight to one of the majors' most beautiful stadiums, but flanked by tired teammates who have already played one today.
But if I could Wei-Yin here, I'd guess that the Dodgers will end up splitting the doubleheader (in 2002, we went 2-1 @ Camden Yards). That is, unless Juan Uribe could...tip the scales?

Who's psyched for Game 2?!
Post-Game Thread from Game 1 up.
The Dodgers used Jansen, Rodriguez, and Belisario in Game 1.
Not a lot of options left for Game 2.
Just heard: Mrs. Willie Mays died yesterday. :-(
Our bench is so bad the DH actually hurts us.
My first sighting of Collins and Psycho...
(Mutes TV).
Dodgers have two wins since trading away Harang on April 11. (Including the win on that same day.) Was his soul patch a good luck charm?
Wait, we SCORED first?!
i loved how Crawford sweated that run, that was the player i was worried about and it turns out he's the one he's making me happy about
Yawn...
@Karina me too. Crawford is s really good player. He's got game!
Tied at 1
Beckett having trouble getting that third out
el Gordo Uribe is useless
Kemp almost goes yard there. But he doesn't.
Now pitching: Josh Fuckett
This team is sad.
Beyond sad.
Beyond sad.
I'm going to gouge out my eyes so I don't have to watch anymore.
Beckett, Dodgers falling apart here in the fifth. Crawford had a shot at that long fly ball though it was pretty well jacked.
Game over.
Continue?
Insert $230,000,000.
Mattingly had better turn this shit around, fast.
Juan Uribe: #iatethebones
Now down 6-1.
And I've been stuck on Candy Crush level 41 all day.
At least everyone around me in camden yards is having fun ... I'm drunk and this game sucks.
AJEllis with a weak liner for a single to start the 7th. Tub O Lard Uribe up.

@Goodchild
The drunk first part of your statement takes care of the second part.
I think I was drunk by association when typing that.
Down 6-1 in the seventh. Unbelievable.
@Q7, I'm stuck on Candy Crush 147
Here's the thing here--our team sucks. Why in the motherfucker do we bring in Rolls Royce ownership and keep our shitty Yugo GM? Say what you will about our bottomless checkbook, and feel really good about it, but at the end of the day, we have a guy who is a gladhanding, smooth talking douchefuck with a stupid rug. Guerrier, overpaying the Red Sox in the trade with prospects, no 3B acquired (apparently thinking Luis Cruz was not a mirage).
That said, I'm overreacting. But he's not a *good* GM. He is mediocre to beat the band. And his bad signings are as bad as anyone's. But at least he doesn't sleep with a spreadsheet, preferring to give handies to scouts!
Sorry, I never post. When are we doing softball again?
When we lose we will now have the longest losing streak in MLB. congrats on being first in something Dodgers.
Donnie might not survive April and if he goes that sack of you know what GM from SF should go with him.
I'm off to drink another Boddingtons or two...
Booooooooooooooooo
@Sax I'll get there...eventually.
Wow. crap play bringing out the hate! I guess misery really does love company.
