Well That Was Fast

From T.J. Simers at the LA Times:

The Dodgers have offered Manny Ramirez $25 million for one year, and while [Scott] Boras would say later in the evening he has already informed the Dodgers that Ramirez has rejected their offer, he still wanted to chat about the pros and cons of such an arrangement. [...]

Now that Ramirez has rejected the Dodgers' offer, Boras said it's a clear sign there are other teams interested in offering Ramirez more. He will no doubt try to turn the Dodgers' one-year offer into two or three years elsewhere.

Plan B = Adam Dunn? Bobby Abreu? A third offer to Ramirez? Stay tuned.

Plan C = A garbage can gets dropped on Scott Boras's head as mentioned in Rounders. Then we sign Manny for 3 years $50 million by telling Manny it's a really good deal...and he believes us.

I think we all know Colletti really wants Ken Griffey Jr, because he was awesome 10 years ago.
