Texas Next Stop on Andruw's "Gotcha Sucker" Express

From "Report: Rangers to sign Jones" at ESPN.com:

Released by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Andruw Jones reportedly will have the opportunity to try to resurrect his career with the Texas Rangers.

The New York Post reported Sunday that Texas will sign Jones to a minor league deal that will pay him $500,000 if he makes the major league team. He also will have the chance to make $1 million in incentives, according to the Post. [...]

Jones reportedly turned down an offer from the New York Yankees to compete for an outfield spot. A source told the Post that Jones picked the Rangers so he could work with batting coach Rudy Jaramillo.

Cynical headline aside, I have every fear that Jones will find motivation (i.e., lose weight), click with Jaramillo, and hit 30 bombs this season. Let's face it: Any amount of production from Jones will make the Dodgers look bad, especially if their outfield struggles.

SoSG: Always Looking on the Bright Side!

The Delino Team was going to cover this story under the title "EVERYTHING'S BIGGER IN TEXAS"

Is that title a reference to Bowfinger?

Not intentionally. Great movie, though.
