Carlos Frias (2-0. 0.00) vs. Mike Fiers (1.3, 4.74).
Frias has only pitched 7.2 IP across three games this year, but already has twice as many wins as last year (when he sported a 6.12 ERA). We're looking for him to earn us the split in Milwaukee, else we risk losing the belt.
However, it's really the other starter about whom I'm worried: Mike Fiers throws inside, hard, and at the head. Fiers allowed one run in eight innings against us last year, but I suppose we were lucky no one had to leave the game in an ambulance. Blame the Brewers (as Orel pointed out before, we didn't start Mike Fiers); I think of it more like, Fiers beware. (Of course, if the Brewers starter ends up skipping the start because he's sick, it could be a Fiers ails at Miller Park: everything must go!)
Oh, what the heck, I can't resist riffing on Orel's pun from last year: Uribe! Starts today! What else do I have to say?
