Mamma Cora found this ball in her collection and doesn't know who it was signed by. I thought it was a Dodger, but looking at who wore number 9 in the past (such greats as Todd Hundley), the signature doesn't match. Thus, I was hoping for some SOSG help. Anyone recognize this autograph?

That is an autographed baseball from Jody Gerut. He wore number 9 with the Indians and Cubs. Here's another example of his autograph that I used to verify your pic.

BOOM! One and done. Nice work, 7777!
Thanks Orel. Baseball Reference was a great resource for this one.
BR for the jersey number search, and then google to search for autograph examples.
Thanks QS. That is amazing. You rock!
No problem AC. Happy to help out.
I was going to say Judy Garland, but I'm too late.
I was thinking Jody Reed but he was never 9, and then I thought it might be GAARP who was 9, and that looks like an A to start the last name, then I read Q7777's amazingly quick response, then I thought that there aren't many dudes named Jody anymore
I was looking for "Joey" or "Johnny" with a last name starting with C at first. When those didn't match up, I started looking for other last initials (O, Q, G) that look like a C.
It wasn't Johnny Ramone?
