Scott Baker (0-1, 3.86) vs. Jeremy Hellickson (1-3, 5.24).
Joc Jam Fever! Have you caught it yet? Although the Dodgers are going with another spot-starter in Baker, the real reason to be excited about this year's team is Joc "Matt Who?" Pederson. Watching (Gamedaying?) this kid hit grand slams and make diving catches like he does, I'm beginning to see why the front office was comfortable with trading Matt Kemp for a handful of beans (sorry, Grandal).
Of course, it helps that the Dodgers are quite unexpectedly leading the majors in home runs; twelve different Dodgers have hit homers so far this season. If guys like Baker can step up and eat some innings, baby, we might just have a stew going.

Orel...I forgive you for your "Matt Who" comment as I have given up my muy important position as President of Matt Kemp Whores of America. While I still hope he'll end of in LA where he belongs, so he can, as we have always planned, be the father of my children, I can not afford to spend one of my 7 Deadly Sins on a fucking madre.
Hey Karen. Joc might be a willing partner. Give him a shot.
well that didn't take long
and I will echo Gnomes' sentiment from the other night: I am not used to the Dodgers hitting so many home runs but I like it and I hope they keep it up
Turner starting at third again. Hmmm
oof Goldschmidt is back to killing us.
Scott Baker is not long for this game or team
heh Vin said "hoisted by his own petard"
^^^ Kíke
Baker out of it after a Yasmany Tomas double to the wall
JT with another homer! 2-1 bad guys
Howie with a flare to right
AG lines a double to the rightfield corner, Howie scores from first, time game, 2-2 good guys!
SVS getting his hacks vs righties
and he Ks
@Neeebs 5:36PM...Since the last object of my lustful attentions also wore number 31 this move just might make sense. After all, I do have a closet full of number 31 jerseys. Of course, I'm old enough to be Joc's mother (well, we'll call it his older sister) but if he doesn't care, I sure as hell don't.
Dre flies to center but we tie up the game
@karen hehe
SVS shoots him down at 2nd. Good job, Scotty!!
Pennington pokes one down the third base line but SVS guns him down at second. Pacheco to third.
Pitcher up, Baker has his chance to get out of this
Turner handles the hot smash from Hellickson, 2 down
Is our Baker at the Yard tonight? Surly he can do this good.
^Surely
Turner hit another homerun?! Nice. And more RBI for A-Gon!
Baker finally gets out of it. He's up to 145 pitches through 2 innings
@karen, "surly" is the right word the way Baker is pitching and Baker is drinking
I don't know what happened there. I was thinking of our Dusty and the word surly came out.
Wonder what that could possibly mean?
YasMan with a double to left!
Kíke flies out
Baker Ks like a pitcher. Baker orders another pitcher
Joc Ks badly
by some miracle, Goldschmidt Ks
Kíke with a tough play at short
good inning from Baker through the heart of the order
JT draws a leadoff walk
Howie nearly lines into a double play but JT barely gets back
AG chops to second but JT was running so he makes it to second, AG out at first
SVS rips a grounder up the middle, JT scores, 3-3 good guys!
New game all over again thanks to SVS!!
Dre grounds back to the box
Scott Baker just can't handle having a tie or lead.
jesus, Aaron fucking Hill immediately homers. Some asshole holding a video camera catches it standing at the top of the stairs up to the Pavillion
is he the guy that films himself catching BP homeruns?
Grandal with another rip. Maybe he is starting to get the feeling
Kíke up
Kíke has a funny batting stance
Kíke Ks badly
Baker up? I guess Donnie will send him back out for the 5th but will pull him at the first sign of danger
why give away an at bat just for the (poor) chance that he'd get a few outs next inning?
and he can't even get the job done. He gets the bunt down but Grandal is thrown out at second and Baker is nearly out at first
that was a dumdum call
Joc gets jobbed on an inside pitch, his 3rd K in 4 innings
sweet jesus we're only through 4 innings?!?

Nicasio in to also be frustrating
spnk is the man!
is it telling you that the channel is currently offline?
Good inning for Nicasio
What??? There's a fight going on tonight? I thought it was all Dodgers all the time!
pick the second fight link. should work like a charm.
gotta scram
Geaux Dre!!
weak groundouts from Turner and Howie
Watching the douche bag at first I thought Agon got all of that.
That'll teach me to trust a douche.
Damn, Tomas hit it hard but Joc tracks it down at the wall in center
another good inning for Nicasio
Hellboy (yeah, whatever) made 94 pitches in 5 1/3 innings and we score 3??
Nicasio still in. This is where he turns back into a Rockie
another great inning for Nicasio
Nicasio sets down 9 in a row. Come on offense do your thang!!
YEP...THAT 31 JERSEY WILL DO JUST FINE! Piazza/Pederson...Potato/Potato. It's all fucking good!!
JT with a double down the right field line. Let's take a lead for once
...and there's our lead FB!!!
yes!! Howie with a slow grounder to right, but it's plenty to get JT home
Yimi in for the hardest part of the lineup, Ks Pollock for the first out
oh man Goldschmidt flies to the track in right
Hill draws a walk, Tomas up and due to hit one out
but he flies to center
Goldshit nearly scared the crap out of me.
Who will be our Closer tonight? Any guesses??
Dre thrown out by a mile trying to steal, Grandal of course gets another hit
Guerrero with a single to right, Grandal to second, Rollins up
yes! Rollins with a single, Grandal scores from second, 6-4 good guys!
JRoll gives us some breathing room.
J-Roll J-Rolls into an insurance run!
Pedersen runs another one down, 2 outs
ball hits the runner, game over!
Ball hits the runner.
We'll take it every time!!
Just got back home from the game. What a comeback. That ending had me confused but we will take it!
What happened?
@Dusty top 9, runner on first and 2 outs. Powell Peralta hits a grounder up the middle that looks like it'll make the outfield which would set up 1st and 3rd. Howie might have had a play to keep it in the infield but it would have been tough. But Pacheco, running from first, virtually steps on the ball not even knowing where it was. So three outs, game over, the champs keep the belt
