Holy smokes, Jon Weisman's gone corporate! Strange things are afoot at the Baseball Toaster:
- Dodger Thoughts is moving to the LA Times.
- The Baseball Toaster is being disbanded.
- Sadly, Bob Timmermann is shutting down The Griddle.
And over at the LA Times, the Bros. Kamenetzky, former proprietors of Blue Notes, have moved to the Times' Fabulous Forum sports blog. Whew!
Congratulations are obviously in order to Jon, but also to the LA Times—for recognizing the value in Jon's writing and being smart enough to fortify their web presence with it. It's a win-win situation for blogging and journalism alike.

Sad to see the Toaster busted but definitely congrats are in order. I have been a fan of the toaster for a while and its good to see the Times actually build UP instead of cut out some good stuff.
