Spring Training Game 18 Thread: Mar. 14 @ Cubs, 1pm

I'd prefer this Beckett, honestly.

Josh Beckett vs. Kyle Hendricks

Welp, Spring Training is winding down already for the Dodgers. They get on a plane for Australia on Sunday! I don't know about you, but it doesn't quite feel like things are clicking just yet. I guess we can roll with the "It's only Spring!" excuse for a little bit longer, at least.

One of the things not quite clicking is the #5 slot in the rotation, with Beckett and Paul Maholm apparently trying to out-awful each other. Beckett will be pitching through a sprained thumb today, so THAT should go well.

Oh boy.

Not to beat dead horse, but...I'm really bummed an unmotivated since I can't watch any of the ST games fuckyouverymuchTWC.

I'm sure I'll get fired up when (if?) we start getting games but for now....meh.

they've shown most of the spring training Dodger games on MLB network,DB. just saying.

If today was a preview of the 2014 Karen it should be a fucking memorable baseball season.

Beckett and his thumb. Exactly where was that thumb stuck again?

@Spank

They've been blacked out several times when scheduled to be on MLB Network when I've tried to watch. Hopefully others not in my viewing area have been able to watch.

Also sometimes that station is jacked up on my cable. It's like, I'd be willing to forego the other 492 bullshit channels I get, and only have that one...but that one is often the ONE that doesn't work.

(cries)

Karen that post already puts you in contention for MVP post of the season, and it's only mid-March!

Whoa, wha--- Dodgers are not at home for Jackie Robinson Day this year? And worse, we're in SF?

Yeah, I remember there being a hullabaloo about that when the schedule was announced.

So good to hear Vin Scully on MLB.tv for today's game. LA 3, COL 2, B6.

Rockies tied it up.

Man, they have horrible spring training uniforms on their backs (with the purple rainbow going on).

@Spanky...."Been home taking care of sick mom and pops..." You are so my hero dude!!! My bro doesn't want in any way to help with the care of our mom. I love him so much but just don't get it. You are doing right by your folks. I totally send my love and prayers to you and mom and pops.

PS...I want my fucking Dodgers NOW...I'm going through fucking withdrawls here...

Puig grounds to short and goes 0-for-4. "His struggles continue," as per Vin.

Steve Sax said...

Pederson with a one-out single, but then gets doubled up on a fly to left field, 7-6-3.

3-3 tie.

@Saxy...Do you know how important your play by play is to poor unfortunate souls such as I? You are like the only link. I just wanted you to know how appreciated your posts are.

@ Karen

thanks,my friend. My sister is actually the MVP. i would have cracked under the pressure, which i already have done over a month ago,had she not come back home to help me out. it's a long story. my mom has gone downhill fast. rather shocking and extreme.
