Josh Beckett vs. Blake Beavan.
Beavan and Beckett may sound a lot like an old MTV animated series, but this matchup might be a less sophomoric than that effort. Beckett, whose Dodger career has been pretty lame so far, gave us a couple of glimmers of hope in his last start (two innings vs. the Padres). So will Beckett fully return to expected form? I suppose we can be the judge of that today.
Beckett photo uncredited and swiped from here. Game Thread jumped to Game 12 due to this morning's split-squad game with Texas, which was suspended in a 5-5 tie.

We're being followed by JP and Heather Howell on Twitter. First active Dodger to follow us, I think. (THough I suspect Heather does all the tweeting.)
I thought I saw her lurking back there.
(looks over shoulder)
@Gnomes: Thanks for the fix. Where I am, it's kinda hard to keep track...
Beckett has a shaky first but gets out of it with a pickoff move and an outfield double play.
Orel is saying he's confident Dee Gordon (batting leadoff) is going to continue to progress.
I'm not so sure.
Dee meanwhile is batting...211 with that single! Wow
And Dee steals second! Really trying to make me eat words here.
Crawford up.
Dodgers get three in the first inning to take a 3-0 lead.
But Beckett reverts to Dodger form and gives up two quick jacks (before recording an out in the second) so it's now 3-3.
Yay.
Another tie here we come!
Sorry, Sax. Props for getting GTs up from where you are. I got lax after the first few.
MLB.com audio only has the Spanish radio broadcast. Between that and TWC not having a deal with verizon I'm getting really pissed off.
Beckett's final line: 3.0 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 3 HR, 1 BB, 0 Ks. His ERA is now 9.00.
I don't think Josh Beckett is back.
5-3 SEA, and Jamey Wright is looking horrible in the fourth.
From my Turkish prison cell, I get fleeting moments of mlb.tv before it falls apart
On the Turkish prison feed, games are still called by Collns and Lyons.
Gordon is thrown out at the plate on a short fly ball to left field. To be fair, reply shows the catcher missed the swipe tag. However Dee probably shouldn't have been running on that shallow of a ball.
6-3 SEA through 5
Joc Pederson with a home run to right! Nice shot.
two-run shot makes it 6-5 SEA
Dominguez gets his third K of the game. Still 6-5 SEA.
Gordon with a single in the second, almost gets doubled off first on a fly to right. Two out, Brendan Harris up with Gordon on first.
GOD IT IS GOOD TO SEE BASEBALL AGAIN
I don't think it will be good for Sax's sanity if Dee makes this team.
i think i might be even more freaked out if Josh Beckett makes the team.
Can't see it, can't hear it. Waiting till the last minute to buy MLB TV
