Chris Capuano (0-0, -.--) vs. Dustin Moseley (0-0, -.--).
The swallows are making their annual return to Chris Capuano as he makes his Dodgers debut. Here's hoping that the Dodgers will make their annual return to complete Padre domination, which has thus far been born out in the first two games of the season. At least we'll have more fans in the seats than the home team will at Petco Park.
Our boys are looking to go 3-0 to start the season for the first time since 1999. Anything less than a win will be tough to swallow.

Urine sits!
Over/under on number of comments before we get a Neeebs' mom reference?
It can't be long now, Orel.
Something she's never said.
My daughter says who's #5, he's fat and slow. Then I tell her about #5 losing 20 lbs in the offseason. Daughter asks why do the dodgers let him on the team. I have no answer.
Ned Colletti, creating awkward father-daughter moments across the city.
BTW today I DBTs bday. Lets celebrate with wins and ales!
Happy birthday, DBT! Your birthday present is: a two-year contract.
Jonathan Broxton allows a run, but he forces a double play to close out a Kansas City 6-3 win over the Tustin Angels of Buena Park.
Stifler's mom has nothing on mi mami!
Way to go, K.C.!
Kuroda pitching and the new shortstop booted the first groundball.
Ha, I feel for Kuroda, but they just stole a base on Martin.
Three former dodgers on the field for Yankees
Happy birthday ToothPick.
Martin is in the best shape of his life.
cc: Paul
Happy Birthday, DBT! We all chipped in and got you a new pair of softball jeans.
Have a great birthday, DBT!
I got you this cinnamon toothpick special for today.
Royals beat Angels? Sweet!
#Hater
Dodgers Live shaping up to be a good one, so don't sleep on it. Just starting. Live interview with Bills on now.
First Saturday night with the Dodgers on the TV. Life. Is. Bueno.
Es muy bueno, indeed.
On the sofa, Vinny!
Comments back to "normal?" Sweet.
On the sofa too, Vinny. Though, a minute ago, I was under the table.
Wait'll we hit 201 though, Nomo.
That's why I put the quotes.
Vinny with the Arkansas Traveler reference with. Nice!
^ (-with)
This is our SS, folks. #SkinnySwag
He's the skinny one, not me.
Knock him in, Mellis!
Hey, just like they practiced!
Knock him in, Kemp!
Hopefully this is the scenario we'll see all season long.
RBI!
Kemp knocked him in.
RBI goodness. That's the way to do it, lads. LADs.
That's baseball the way old farts intended it to be.
Hey, Capuano wears his socks the right way. I might end up liking him a little.
Where the hell is NicJ, by the way? Absent this season. Booooooo, Nic!
I like then don't like the socks
Redo:
I like the socks and then I didn't like the socks.
Socks the way the old farts intended.
Good first inning for Cap.
I'm beginning to think I'm an old fart.
"I'm beginning to think I'm an old fart."
You already look the part.
Holy shit we got ourselves a pitching staff.
I've seen Nic in the last week or so. I think it was in the "Hooray Magic" post madness.
I guess we had to use our AK today.
Uribe caught the San Diego flu per Vinny.
Never really had an issue with Capuano. Keeping him healthy is a concern, but he can throw.
At least Kennedy takes more pitches than Uribe.
Pretty much everybody takes more pitches than Urine.
I wish Urine had caught the flu three days ago.
@Paul
I don't know how you'd tell. He's up hacking most nights.
Neeebs wears his socks like that to Court.
Got eeeeeeeeeeeeemmm!
Why can't they broadcast Vin all nine innings?
On the radio, that is.
Why can't I hear vinny
Neebs mom wears those socks to bed.
I've always thought it was the economics of TV vs radio. TV muscle says we get VI exclusively for 9 innings at this price.
^Vin
Saw that coming.
Orlando Hudson - the Town Greeter, per Vin.
This just in from the obvious department: Dee will get to 50 SB before Kemp.
We have an Obvious Department? I thought we did away with that bureau in the re-org.
C'mon Bison!
Wotcher, y'all.
Bison steak!
there you go
6 RBI for Bison already!
I like my bison steak medium rare.
ANDRE!
dammit! fucking dodgers!
E with the BOOM! Don't forget about Dre in all the Kemp adoration.
Already 6 RBIs on the season for Kemp!
Let's keep this going, JLo.
You're conversing w Moriyama, Nomo?
swinging on a 3-0 count? you the man, loney.
Eh, whatever. Fighting with him is so 2010.
Just turned on the game and watched the Dodgers score 3. Good stuff!
Nomo, always the peacemaker.
Vin says Ethier has 6 RBIs on the year as well.
this is not good
Dusty, always the cheesecutter.
A.J. Ellis with power?!
Did AJ Ellis just hit a HR?
jellis!
You all thought I was a fool!
HR!?! Well he's halfway to his total from last year.
AJHR!!!!
His first swing was enough to catch the ire of the usually positive and unflappable MDIL. Then he took one out deep to left. Wow.
We still do, Marla!
Cheesecutting old fart!
If Cap can cut down on the pitch count, he could have a pretty good year.
hedley
Can we play the Padres every night?
Can we sit Uribe every night? Kennedy being awful doesn't bother me as much because he's not getting paid as much.
Balls.
That didn't look like a strike, but too close to just take...
Those dudes suck. Trade 'em!
Remember the days when the Dodgers sucked at hitting with RISP, instead of just sucking at hitting in general?
*points and laughs at the Yankees*
Just got back from 2 soccer games, dinner, and 2 XX ambers ($3 a pint at Super Mex in Fullerton).
The boys look good again tonight.
We've gotta do a conjugal Super Mex run this summer, RBN. Let's make it happen.
Crapola.
That's a short leash.
Really? Jamey Wright is the best man for the job? Really?
Indeed.
Jaysus H, the strikezone is over there!
This keeps up, I'm gonna need tequila.
MDIL: Did you notice I haven't said one good thing about the Padres today?
(responding to my criticism from yesterday that she wasn't feeling enough hateHateHATE)
Is this what they call an implosion?
This is not going well.
Hey! A strike!
Just throw a fucking strike. Why get cute?
Good fucking fuck.
What
The
Fuck?
I blame Ned.
I can't remember if I've ever seen three straight runs on bases loaded walks.
Sonofabitch.
That's about as ugly an inning as I've ever seen.
Good thing it's the Padres, or this game would be over.
Well, crap. At least we're not losing yet.
Not a good inning in my opinion.
Let's get better against Margaret Thatcher.
Thanks for your masterful insight, Paul. I concur with your conclusion.
Jerry Hairston, OBP machine.
Nice piece of hitting from JHa.
Way to answer back Loney.
What up sons! Checking in from the shit stall at the southern California percussion alliance championships in beautiful (but not really) cal state San bernardino. I see that Capuano wasn't able to make it out the 5th...
So anyone else see this Blogger thing differently on their mobiles?
I was just calling you out for not being here, Nic! How we doin'?
You're on the can, Alex? Nice! Yeah, 5th inning was rough. Hopefully less rough than the TP in the Cal State San Bern band shitroom.
@RBN
Yeah different. As in different but much better. So better.
Petco really is too big.
Hard to tell distance from the camera angles, but why weren't runners tagging on that fly from TGJ? Is my depth perception off?
C'mon, Rivera, work the walk and let Dee drive 'em home.
Not too bad DB.
Wife had a baby so I haven't been able to come around as much.
How is everyone else doing?
Dammit.
This strike zone seems shifty.
Congratulations on the new addition, Nic! Well done!
Seems like everyone is fine. At least, until the fifth inning we were.
Stubbs seems a little shifty, too.
MacDougal really made me nervous and not enjoy that inning. I need pleasant entertainment, people.
MacDougal pitches a relatively clean inning.
Relatively.
Stubbs is very shifty, which should make him a better softball player.
Guess what? Another walk in this game. Let's go Blue !
I'm running low on beer. That makes me shiftless, I think.
Mellis. Out new GIDP hero.
Vin called Gordon, Hudson. Hmmm.
That's a ballbuster.
Fuck your fucking spring stats!
Matt Fucking Kemp. Making them pay.
That's a headsup play!
Andre's getting the pass to get to Loney.
Let's see how that goes.
Time for Jim to make them pay.
Scared of Ethier! That's what I thought!
Now who do we have? Loney. Now they're not so scared.
New season; same Loney.
!EM CKUF
Why?
I think my daughter was recruited by CKUF. We turned them down.
Cause me so horny....for some runs.
I'm convinced the only reason Loney is on the team is because they have a surplus of Loney kids batting practice jerseys they need to cycle through.
I'm willing to take those BP jerseys off their hands and send him on his merry way.
MacDougal and Guerrier are not perfect, but why couldn't they relieve Cap, instead of the NRI guy?
Right-o, Marla.
Annnnnd.....here comes 0-7 Urine.
Did Vin just say Ray Jay Ellis? If so, that's a great name for him.
Shit urine up. Think he hits into a DP?
Well at least it wasn't a DP
Strikeout is an improvement from a DP.
I guess.
Uribe strikes out.
Shocking. Bring back Eugenio.
(cries)
Aaaaaannnnd there goes Urine.
Someone put him out of my misery.

Everyone was making such a big deal about the last Lakers/Clippers last game being for the pacific division. It wouldn't surprise me if the clips still win it. Lakers still have to play the spurs three times.
Totally agree, Nic. I think more than anything that was a head to head, pride kind of game but over the stretch of the season, Clippers will probably finish better. Esp if Kobe has a shin issue and Bynum can't stay in a game.
That was so 6:40pm, Sax.
Whoa. When did the NBA lockout end?
Steve Lyons makes bold predictions.
#dumbass
Screw it put loney or Rivera at third. How about selllers Anything but urine. Trade him for some bubble gum.
Petco makes no sense.
Much like me.
If Loney plays third, he'll give up more runs with his glove than Uribe gives up with his bat.
How come urine was included in the dodger sale? Who the heck negotiated a deal that INCLUDED urine.
I don't care if a lefty can't play third. It is so painful to watch urine.
(cries)

I agree, AC. We need to just find a way to fill in without Urine. However that looks. This guy is just not going to work, and his shittiness could get contagious. He has absolutely no plan or strategy when he gets to the plate. Unless his plan or strategy is to swing at everything and strike out.
How about Mattingly at third?
See, Urine's shittiness wore off on Kemp in that last AB.
I don't know if Urine is contagious, Dusty. I thought Urine was sterile.
This would be a bad game to lose
Fucking shifty shittiness from Urine.
Thank gawd the pitching is solid.
Even Vin doesn't know who's playing third for us.
Good thing Chad went into the ninth last night, or the bullpen would be fried.
Who will get his first hit of the season first
Loney
Or Urine
Sorry for the rant. Got a little worked up there.
(steps back from ledge)
Deep breaths...

Dammit
I'm down to one Bud tallboy, and we're looking at extras.
Cc: Spank
Shit, this blogger gaffe persists
10th inning! Tied at 5
I am back for extras. Dodgers score this inning. Feel the positive affirmation.
