Another-Team-Takes-Colletti-Off-Our-Hands Pipe Dream Raises Its Head Again

Thanks to John G. for the link: from Roch Kubatko at MASNsports.com:

I've been told again that the Orioles would like to interview Ned Colletti if he leaves the Los Angeles Dodgers.

But that's only because they got turned down by Jerry Dipoto. And Tony LaCava. I wouldn't hold my breath on this one; a new owner won't be in place in time to make Colletti available to the O's.

But I thought Ned Colletti need not apply! What happened, Sax? What happened?

It's not as much "take him off our hands" as it is "scoop him out of the dumpster when the new owner tosses him in there."

Should that come to pass, I believe that would be a case of what they call irony.

Only if they pay him too much.

Yes, that would be implied.
