Surprised re Jim Bowden. He is usually firmly in the Kemp camp.
I'm the type of guy who will lose sleep tonight for being nervous about the announcement tomorrow.
OT, but Dodgers relevant:
My buddy lives in Dallas and has a son who is really into baseball (Rangers, specifically). He emailed me the other day and said he was considering taking his lad to the Clayton Kershaw baseball camp. He knows about Kershaw but asked me what kind of guy he was and what I thought about Kid K. Of course I replied that he was not only a stud pitcher but a terrific guy with a great head on his shoulders who is the FUTURE OF THIS ORGANIZATION. My friend signed his lad up for the camp. It was held this weekend, and this is the report back I got:
"You know, you did not oversell the guy. He was there with his wife to raise money for charity and looked and acted genuinely thrilled to be there playing with kids the whole time. He repeatedly thanked everyone for coming, had time for every request (with one exception, my request to run my hands over his broad manly chest), and was just generally awesome to everyone and mind-blowingly modest and humble. He had two other two hour camps with different age groups so he was going to be out there all day."
Glad my buddy and his lad had a great outing, an am glad to relay this story that helps demonstrate what a great guy we have to call our #1 pitcher.
That's bad ass DB. I met a mom of his former high school teammate. (MILF). She had nothing but good things to say about him.
That being said screw espn, I am shocked they didn't want a yankee or red sox to win the NL MVP.
That's funny, FV, because I got as far as " I met a mom of his former...." before I started thinking MILF, so I'm glad you went ahead and jumped right in with that.
MILF > Tebow
go matty!!
