Andruw Jones Caught and Released

Normally you have to throw something back because it's too small, but not this time. From Diamond:

It's official. The Dodgers couldn't trade Andruw Jones and released him instead.

"Obviously this is a disappointing day for both us and Andruw, as we all had high hopes for him when he signed last year given his track record and everything that we had seen from him in the past and heard about him," General Manager Ned Colletti said in a statement. "I know that Andruw is also very disappointed in the way things turned out and the best thing to do at this point is to turn the page and we wish him well."

Fare thee well, Andruw. We'll eat a cupcake in your honor.

Translation: "And don't let the door hit you in the (fat) ass on the way out."

Yes, Andruw is partially to blame. But who was the genius who signed Andruw to the $36M stunner deal in the first place? Oh yeah, Ned and Frank, spending foolishly.
