Scoreboard Watching: August 2, 2015

Oh man, I remember this guy.

Wait a second, you mean to tell me that we get a day off, while the Giants and their cushy schedule actually have to play a game? Of course, it's against the lowly Braves, who are eight games out of the NL East lead (tied between the Mets and Nationals). Matt Cain (2-2, 4.50) goes up against the lengthy last name of Mike Foltynewicz (3-3, 5.04). Foltynewicz, who goes by the absolutely crazy baseball nickname of...wait for it..."Folty", should really be a reliever but Atlanta is trying him out as a starter. Which should go really well tonight, I'm sure. Thanks, Atlanta! First pitch, 4p PT.

Too bad we stole one of Atlanta's good starters at the trade deadline. Have they called up Olivera yet? Maybe he can stick it to the Gnats

I was reading somewhere (Weisman maybe) about the upcoming schedules and how the Giants' August schedule is going to be really tough, like everyone after this Atlanta series will be teams with better records than them. Hopefully we can put some distance between us and them. If we can't, it may be a rough september

My heart bleeds for the Giants and their "tough" schedule. They have gotten so many pansy opponents and days off this year, it is ridiculous.

Andruw Jones.....Isn't he dead?

Oh wait, my mistake...he was only dead during his tenure with the Dodgers...

Giants lose to the Braves in the 12th inning. Oyster Pubes got the Giants ahead 8-7 in the top of the 12th, but Brandon Crawford had an error to let a man aboard, and Adonis Garcia hit a two-run HR off of Ryan Vogelsong to win the game.

And that was after allowing a game-tying, 2-out, 2-run homer to AJ "Ted" Pierzynski in the bottom of the 9th

Just watched the end of the condensed game. Not sure if it was a throwing error by Crawford or a catching error by Belt. Either way, the Brandons suck
