Greetings from Delaware. Where I can actually watch this game on the local television set. But have chosen to go outdoors instead. Um. Is this Greinkes less talented cousin pitching?

karen said...

Well damn FB...I was getting ready to post lineup and you beat me to it!!! I think Sponge Boy pissed himself off when he made that error in the first...I kinda like him mad!!!!

karen said...

Delaware Delino?? What happened? Another wrong turn on your way home from work?

spank said...

7-6 now

karen said...

I always love it when we play at Coors....oh, wait...

So, what a weird game. I expected to have the game on while I take conference calls, but I can seem to dial in, what weirdness...

karen said...

Sponge Worthy 3 for 3 including a homer today....

karen said...

Sponge Worthy and JRoll score on Howie's double. 9-6 top of 6.

Fred's Brim said...

Yaz with sac fly, 10-6 good guys
Zack's got an inning left, then it's the pen for 9 outs. I think we'll need moar runz on a day like this

I feel so old! Steiner telling Nomar that Sponge Boy is the first pitcher since Claude Osteen to score 3 runs in a game in 45 years and Nomar didn't know who Osteen was. Now, admittedly, I was but wee youngster when Osteen pitched, but still!!!!!

karen said...

You're right FB...4 runz ain't gonna be nowhere enough....

Fred's Brim said...

How could Nomar have never heard of Claude Osteen? I think Vin brings him up a least once a game. He should take the next homestand off and listen to Vin

karen said...

Also...Isn't Nomar from SoCal...Whittier maybe??

spank said...

Nomar is a hack. pay no mind.

Fred's Brim said...

OH NO NOT PERALTA!

Fred's Brim said...

and now Kenley, perfect

karen said...

This is a terrible, terrible thing to say but I'm glad he's out

Fred's Brim said...

how does Peralta even get innings anymore?

veteran grit!

Fred's Brim said...

@karen what happened?

Fred's Brim said...

Orel is angry again

karen said...

FB...My best answer is that our bullpen came in....

Fred's Brim said...

WOOP I'll take it!!!!

karen said...

ADRIAN GONZALEZ......

Fred's Brim said...

Did Peralta get hurt? or was that somebody else who got hurt?

Fred's Brim said...

Gameday wasn't giving me much info

karen said...

I'm speechless

Steve Sax said...

Whew

Fred's Brim said...

@karen how did that DP go down?

karen said...

FB...Thought you were asking why the game was coming undone! Something happened to Peralta's foot...spiked, twisted, something and Conti took him out.

I was just happy he was off the mound!!!

karen said...

OMGFB!!! Monster line drive at about shoelace level that Agon grabbed and doubled the runner off first. You need to catch it on Sports Center tonight.

Fred's Brim said...

ahh ok, maybe that's why he had been stinking it up. He was landing on it funny the last time out too. Not sure how I could see it but nobody on the team could tell. They should read our game threads

Fred's Brim said...

I will definitely check it out.
If he doesn't catch it, do both runners score?

Ryan said...

DFA JOEL PERRALTA ALREADY!!!!

karen said...

It was hit so hard and happened so fast the camera guy didn't seem to be on top of it, I'm sure though had it got by Agon it would have rattled around out in right and cleared the bases. I think it is officially time to worry about Kenley.

spank said...

not noice but i'll take the win

Fred's Brim said...

just saw the replay, crazy

Hideo Nomo said...

I think Adrian may have caught it on the foul side of first. Strong possibility it would have been a foul ball if he didn't touch it. Glad he did, though.

Giants lose! Lead back to 3

Late to this, but: excellent image! Cracking me up a day later.
