Hyun-Jin Ryu (9-3, 3.14) vs. Travis Wood (7-7, 2.79)
Late lunch baseball! Heck, just blow off the rest of the day and take in the game. (Or stay at your desk and look busy while listening to the game, like I plan to do.)
Did you know Travis Wood was an All-Star this year? I sure didn't. You know who should have been an All-Star (besides Puig)? Hyun-Jin Ryu. He's given the Dodgers a quality start in 15 out of 20 outings. And his ERA is Pi. That's just awesome.
I think I'll have pie with my late lunch.
What's this?
Hanley Ramirez and Carl Crawford out of lineup today.

Punto at SS, Van Slyke in LF. Puig cleanup.

Punto instead of Hanley?* I may have just lost my appetite.
Yes, I know it's just a scheduled day off.

This could be a rough one. Night game- red ey travel-night game- day game. That is why last night's was a big win. Still it is the Cubs.
But it's also Punto.
The resistible force vs the movable object.
MLB hates the Dodgers. That is obviously.
Also, last night Charley and Rick were talking about the Ramirez/Mellis combo and their 80% win record when they start together. No sooner had the words left Charley's mouth when Mellis can't catch the toss for out #3, extending the inning.
Luckily, as it has been said, it is the Cubs. No harm done.
Did Hanley just call Uribe a monkey on Twitter?
Well...yeah. Whatever brings the team together.
It's a semi-running joke.
Hanley and Uribe are bro-ing out so hard.
Uribe/Ramirez bout TK. I have so much work to do today. Am I going to do it? No, I'm going to watch (well, maybe I'll do some afterward).
Man is Lyons a gomer
Is it beer'o'clock yet?
So long, productivity!
Puig single scores SlowGon!
SlowGon. He hehe
Steiner sounds like he might be drinking.
Yes..."might be."
Dangit, Dre.
There are at least 3 names in the Cubs in the starting lineups that I'm pretty sure were just picked at random from The Great Gatsby.
Ruh-roh.
"Watching" from my desk.
Man on Wire
Watching through Gameday is an exercise in patience. . .or Zen.
Both?
SlowGon? A SlowGon fizz?
SlowGon poetry.
Lyons talking quite a bit about the awesomeness that is booze in the clubhouse for road games. He ends his soliloquy by calling Harry Carry an alcoholic.
I have no point here other than Lyons is making me want a beer even more than I did 45 minutes ago.
Crapadoo.

Not digging Ryu being out on the basepaths this long.
At least Donnie is fighting instead of eating it
So not pretty. But me likely the results
Yay! Ryu's not on the basepaths anymore. In a good way!
Wood leaves the game limp.

Hey guys! 5-1 B4
Kershaw wondering what he has to do to get this kind of run support.
Again, Sax speaks to soon.

Two hours later, Top 5.
Charley and Rick didn't speak for over 20 seconds. Thought the feed died.
