On the way to 162-0!
(Orel here.) The bad: Clayton Kershaw has the flu. Even worse: Which means Vin Scully said "diarrhea."
The good: Kershaw "gutted" it out (ha ha, get it?) for three scoreless innings. The bad: The bullpen got stretched out. The good: two holds, one save and one win among five relievers.
The good: Matt Kemp hit what turned out to be the game-winning two-run home run. The bad: There's nothing bad about Matt Kemp.
The bad: Dee Gordon went 0 for 5. The good: He was great in the field and turned a Cameron Maybin error into an (unofficial) triple.
The good: The Padres made three errors. The bad: Again, nothing bad about that.

Everyone else can just plain suck it.
They may also cram it with walnuts.
Run(s)!
PGT updated.
Even on opening day at Petco the place sounded very blue friendly.
The Game Thread got 440 comments. That's an SoSG Opening Day record.
Nicely done, ladies and gents.
I will take all the credit.
GT today felt good. Real good.*
*Other than the aforementioned technical difficulties.
I had to bail out on the fun after 200 comments - for whatever reason I didn't have a "newest" comments link when I refreshed. I blame Frank McCourt:...
Hey guys, we're undefeated!!!
Alex, I think we figured out if you make a comment then a link to the latest comments appears. At least it encourages conversation.
Sweet, thanks Orel!
