Former Dodger and current Met Juan Uribe unfortunately won't be with the Mets for the NLDS, as he continues to recover from injury. And I say unfortunate, just thinking about Uribe himself; it's probably better that we aren't facing him, given he batted .357 with 3 RBI against us this year.
Uribe, who originally injured his chest while diving for a groundball a few weeks ago, is expected to remain in New York to receive physical therapy while the Mets open the NLDS with Games 1 and 2 in Los Angeles this weekend.Mets general manager Sandy Alderson confirmed Tuesday that Uribe, who was acquired by New York a week before the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, will not be available to play in the NLDS, which begins Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, with whom Uribe began the season.

Originally I wasn't a Uribe fan. I was convinced he was wearing a vagiant t-shirt under his
Dodgers jersey. But dude grew on me. Even when his offense was stinking up the Ravine, his defense was awesome. Doesn't surprise me he got hurt diving for the ball. HOWEVER...having sung his praises, I am ecstatic to not have to see him. He, along with Matty will have plenty of opportunity to screw with us. (Think Cody Fucking Ross).
