Post-Game 59 Thread: Chatwood Shuts Us Down

ROCKIES 6, DODGERS 1

There has been only one no-hitter thrown by a Colorado Rockies pitcher. Save a Howie Kendrick single in the second inning, Rockies pitcher Tyler Chatwood was close to matching this milestone, one-hitting the Dodgers through eight frames (1 ER, 4 BB and 5 Ks). Chatwood was however run over by an invading (Gonzalez) Germen, who stormed onto the mound in the ninth inning to finish the Dodgers (and the game) in short order.

Mike Bolsinger lasted only 5.1 innings, giving up 6 ER and undone by a Gerardo Parra solo shot and a three-run Trevor Story HR in the sixth inning.

This offense is horrible.

hey it's an improvement over last year. Getting 1-hit twice in week is better than getting no-hit twice in a week, right? RIGHT?!?
*cries*
