Alex Wood pitched surprisingly well (6.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB and 9 Ks), dueling the Mets' Jacob deGrom (7.0 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 0 BB and 4 Ks). But Trayce Thompson's pinch-hit, two-out, bottom-of-the-ninth HR off of Hansel Robles won the game, tied the series, and earned Thompson a bubble-gum shower early and a Powerade shower later (both on the field; I assume Thompson got a real shower at some point tonight as well). Not much more to say about this one besides Vin's call, so I'll leave it at that.

Alex Wood has pitched noticeably better at Dodger Stadium than on the road. In 2015 his overall record was 12-12 with a 3.84 ERA. At Dodger Stadium he was 4-2 with a 2.21 ERA in 6 starts. This year he is 0-3 on the road with an 8.05 ERA (4 games) and 1-0 at home with 1.33 ERA (3 games). Can we work the rotation to have him pitch all of his games at home this year?
And Trayce Thompson's bald head has worked for him.
