Kenta Maeda (3-1, 1.66) vs. Noah Syndergaard (2-2, 2.58).
Three games into this series, and we haven't even mentioned last year's fateful NLDS, when Chase Utley slid into infamy at the expense of the Mets' Ruben Tejada. The Mets lost a shortstop but won the series in five.
One year later, Utley is off to a surprisingly torrid start, batting .290 with a .823 OPS (126 OPS+). Tejada isn't even with the Mets anymore (he was released in March and was picked up by the Cardinals, where he's batting .190 with a woeful .494 OPS (30 OPS+). But Tejada is still angry at Utley. So far, the Mets haven't retaliated on Tejada's behalf; and yesterday's walk-off HR probably poured more salt in any lingering open wounds. Let's keep it up tonight.

Two on, none out in the first. 0-0
And Syndergaaaaaaaaard hits a solo HR. 1-0 NYM, T3
Seager HR ties it. 1-1
noice.
Yasmani baby! Another solo HR, 2-1 LA B4
Grandal, bishes! That one even fooled Vinny...that NEVER happens.
Gandalf!
Puig GIDP. Not so good.
We just wasted a two-out single by Crawford. That ain't gonna happen often, so it's too bad we couldn't do anything with it.
That said, Crawford probably would have broken a bone trying to score from first on a double anyway
Syndegaard is the new Bumgarner. Fuck that guy.
Howie cranked that one but right to Duda.
4-2 Mets through 5.
At this rate I think one of us may have to pitch the 8th.
Coleman freezes him to get the third out. Spank and Karen can relax in the 'pen, but stay loose just in case.
Blanton comes in to pitch the 8th...I think I'd prefer one of us.
i want to pitch against Ethier and bean the mofo.
Thor's hammer is still there for the taking....one out left
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
And try as he might Puig doesn't have the Vision needed (avengers 2 reference) to lift Thor's hammer from the dirt.
The civil war continues in my heart. Mets win. Dodgers lose. Joy and sadness all at once
Good night All you Sons and Daughters.
