Post-Game 22 Thread: Joc Goes MmmBop Slam

DODGERS 8, DIAMONDBACKS 0

Joc Pederson, pranked by his teammmates in the second inning by having had his walk-up music changed to Hansen's "MmmBop", cracked a smile at the beginning of his at bat. And then Pederson launched his fifth HR of the year and his first career grand slam. (If the mlb.com videos aren't embedding correctly, click the above link please.)

Justin Turner had already homered in that frame, so the Dodgers were ahead 5-0 after two (beating up Rubby De La Rosa). Andre Ethier added a HR in the sixth, and Scott Van Slyke had a two-RBI single in the eighth. The Dodgers open up a three-game lead in the NL West, their largest all year. And Pederson is off to a flying, pop-music-filled start.
