Clayton Kershaw (2-0, 1.64) vs. Matt Wisler (0-1, 4.61).
Breakfast baseball! The Dodgers go for their third consecutive series win with Kershaw on the mound (never "on the bump"), and what with yesterday's come-from-behind extra-innings victory and the bullpen finally doing its job, it could actually happen. Another round of mimosas!

Happy birthday Joc! You're hitting cleanup and get an RBI on your first at bat.
Kershaw gives up a run on a double. Good relay nails Castro at third. But it's going to be reviewed.

Call stands. One out bottom of the 1st. Kershaw needs to settle down.
Kid K's next two more pitches get two ground outs. He's settled down. Tied at one after one.
Barves load the bases in the second. Kershaw gets a K. Pitcher coming up.
Amazing double play started by Utley up the middle to save Kershaw's bacon! Still tied after two.
Dodgers go quietly in the third.
AGon with a single to lead off the 4th.
Joc lightly taps one to short, away from the shift, and gets himself an infield single. Two on, nobody out for Thompson.
Utley is making plays that have Charlie Steiner asking where he found the fountain of youth. Game still tied in the bottom of the 5th.
Kershaw with 6 Ks through 5.
AGon leads off the 6th with a solid single. Joc to the plate who's 2 for 2.
Joc goes down swinging.
Thompson walks and Kike flies out to end the inning.
To end the top half of the 6th I should say.
Freeman tries to take 2nd, overslides the base, and is tagged out by Utley. Steiner is drunk on the Utley Kook-Aid.
Culberson makes a good play down the line at third base. Barves have a runner at third now with 2 out.
Kershaw gets a called strike three to end the threat and the inning. Still 1-1 after six.
Ellis reaches on an error to start the 7th.
And he's quickly erased by a GIDP from Culberson.
Kid K bats for himself and hits a flyball to right center. The Barves collide with each other, and Kersh is on second.
Utley walks. End of the line for Wisler. Seager coming up.
I think this is the most comments I've ever left in one game thread.
O'Flaherty in to pitch to Seager.
Take out a couple of letters from his name and it becomes O'Farty. Heh!
Seager gets a basehit, but Kershaw is thrown out at the plate. Dodgers are challenging.
Kershaw's foot beat the tag, but it may not have been down on the plate. Awaiting the verdict.
Still waiting. How about that pace of play?
Challenge denied. Kershaw is called out. Still tied going to the bottom of the 7th.
Quick inning for Kid K. AGon leads off the 8th with a double.
Correction, AGon lead off with a single. The Double-Double promotion got in my head.
Jim Johnson pitching the 8th for the Barves.
Joc goes down swinging. Thompson bounces into a fielder's choice. Kike up now.
Kike draws a walk. Grandal pinch hitting for Ellis with 2 on and 2 out.
Wild pitch moves Thompson to third.
Grandal walks. Justin Turner now pinch hitting for Culberson with the bases loaded.
Turner flies out to right. Sad trombone.
Kershaw, still on the mound in the 8th, gets his ninth K.
10 Ks now.
A walk and a single puts two on with two out in the 8th for the Barves.
Grounder to Turner at third ends the inning. Going to the 9th still tied.
We've left 10 on base today! Kendrick pinch hitting.
He promptly fouls out.
Utley hits one into the corner for a double! Let's not strand him now boys!
Seager grounds to the right side. Utley moves over to third. Two out.
AGon gets the intentional walk. Joc, it's up to you on your birthday. No pressure.
I walk in here to find IT'S A 7777 PARTY, BABY!

Lots of hits allowed by Kershaw but he still holds them to 1 run in 8 innings.
I wanted to finish the game off, but the site decided to pull me early. Glad Orel was able to come in for the save.
I went the whole game without clicking the "I'm not a robot" checkbox, and it did me in after my 49th comment.
gnats lose again. Not a bad day.
It was a really slow day at work for me yesterday. It was fun!
