In other ex-Dodger news, my how the tiny have fallen. Dylan Hernandez reporting that the Phillies have signed Juan Pierre to a minor league contract and invited him to their Spring camp.

This is what passes for Dodger player news these days; reports of ex-players signing insignificant contracts for hated rivals.

No WAY the throw goes that far.
The Pierre deal is finally over? I'd say we celebrate, but the Dodgers are still paying him.
(cries)
ps- I meant to ask about Theriot destroying us, not Heyman. Heyman can only destroy himself.
Heyman can also destroy ECW.

@Nomo
The Dodgers paid off the last $3.5MM of the Pierre deal last season. Unfortunately, the Dodgers are still paying Andruw Jones $3.2MM each of the next three seasons. Manny still has $8.3MM in Blue bills coming his way over the next two.
The zombie contract is dead! Long live the zombie contract!
Allow me to pre-write Heyman's season-ending Cy Young column:
"Clayton Kershaw had a wonderful year. But, let's face it, he started nearly half of his games against terrible offensive clubs showcasing the likes of Ryan Theriot. Despite leading both leagues in every standard and advanced statistic, a more deserving candidate is {insert east coast starter name here}."
Well said re Heyman, Jason.
@Jason
Ha! My original phrasing had "probably still paying," but I deleted the probably. I was certain he was still getting Dodger money.
THERE'S NO PLACE FOR RESEARCH AT THIS BLOG.
I feel weird. I need booze.
About time you woke up today, Spank!
