It's not much, but it's all the Dodgers news we have to talk about this morning. At least the starting rotation is set. When was the last time we could say that?
- Dodgers eyeing Uribe for infield help (Ken Gurnick, Dodgers.com)

UPDATE: What is it about overpaying guys named Juan? Deal is for 3 years/$21 million.

Say it ain't so,Joe!
(cries)
ugh - I may have a hard time pulling for Uribe
Booo-repaid.
I was thinking 3 years at 12 million. Not 21.
My God, is there ANY GIANTS RETREAD WE WON'T TAKE???
Fuck me in the armpit.
21? 21 what? 21 hats that slob will sweat through this season? christalmighty
Seven million a year is a steep price, but at least they spent it on the (gag) right guy.
This is indeed a very sad day: Irvin Kershner dies and Dodgers sign Uribe.
Mr. Colletti, this is not a nice gift for Vin, we're supposed to win for him, not to hire am expensive hand me down who previously won said ring for the Giants.
:(
^an
Don't think I've forgotten that our General Manager is a hand-me-down from those assholes, too.
"Help me Obi Juan, you're my only ho...ly shit, you are HUUUUUUUGE! How the hell are you supposed to help us?"
@Mr C you feel my pain
Happy, I am not.
There was a nice rumor about Scutaro around...
*sighs*
WTF
uhm...
WTF
There's actually Battery-Chuckers up here now barking that he sucks, etc, when yesterday, he was a God to them.
Giants fans are retards, I swear.
This is a tough pill.
@PPR
That's the truth, brother.
@FB 12:29PM,
A Mack Truck would have a hard time pulling Uribe.
Just in from WikiLeaks: Juan Uribe is fat.
My last 3 comments including the one in the other post have been childish jabs at Uribe's weight.
*smiles proudly*
I'm on a roll! Crap, better get off, cuz here comes a hungry-looking Juan...
I was in a meeting all day, so haven't had a chance to digest the Uribe news yet. This has been rumoured in the news recently so I guess it doesn't come as a surprise. Interesting to hear your hate Hate HATE in reaction to the signing.
I'm not hating the news yet, but could be convinced otherwise. It will take some getting used to that he may be a fat bastard, but he's our fat bastard.
meh, whatever.
Better than Jeff Kent.
Obi is a good nickname though.
Hah. Dusty lost.
Er, I'm glad you find my loss so enjoyable.
I just thought it was funny how Jason only had the 49er defense left and a 10 point deficit to overcome.
I have to say that Arizona team I watched tonight is one of the handsdownshittiest teams I have ever witnessed play in the NFL. Just god awful. They should be relegated. Mother of god do they suck. They actually make 49'ers look halfway decent, which in and of itself is a mountainous task.
Ned is still working for the Giants. I know things *cue x files music*
True Conversations Volume 54, Issue 108:
Mrs Dusty [Watching MLB Network Hot Stove piece on Juan Uribe]: What are the Sons saying tonight?
Dusty [Glances at SoSG blog]: MMMmmm....Sons aren't seeing much action tonight.
Dusty: And there's not a lot of talk about Uribe on their blog, either.
Still ain't hating the Uribe thing, folks. Call me Giants-loving Josh.
@Paul
Don't disrespect X Files by associating them with Jints.
Agent Scully was named after our own VInny, you know.
Glad the Chargers defense scored those TDs last night.
exactly Dusty, this Giants plan has been in the works for decades. They are all around us. Remember Vinny was a Giants fan as a Kid! So was Torre!
There is an unseen war of good versus evil here.
Vinny is okay now. I think the aliens brainwashed him as kid.
Ned (Colletti, not Flanders) on Hot Stove tonight. Said that Broxton was the closer; issue is w/ his confidence. Still thinking through Karina's Son but not sounding positive.
Oh we also have Josh loving the Giants only during the "NLCS".
They are growing in numbers....
Uribe is like my ex-girlfriend. One year sounds great, three years sounds like a waste of money.
Yeah but I wanted to be an astronaut when I was a kid, too. SHows how much I knew, and how much Joe and Vin knew when they foolishly supported the New York baseball Jints as children.
I just realized: today is my grandmother's 90th birthday and she shares it with Vinny. Does this make him my baseball step-grandfather?
That would make him your step-great uncle no?
Where is Neeebs with that memo?
Ice is already forming on my car. It was like 90 here 7 weeks ago.
Did I live Afghanistan?....eh close enough.
@Paul
Can you sell me some opium in that case?
If we can deal with Jeff Kent being a Dodger, we can deal with Uribe. The 3 year contract is bad but this guy should be solid for us for at least 2 years. He is an elite 2B with the glove (his range factor and UZR is just below Utley's).
Agree, Wicks.
Who said we dealt with Kent? I never liked that piece of shit. Fuck that Gnat,tambien!
well I dealt with Kent.....sorry to speak for others.....hahahaha
I had mad range at 2B for you guys.
