Fri 5.31 7p: Buehler vs. Hudson Sat 6.1 7p: Yamamoto vs. Quantrill Sun 6.2 1p: Stone vs. Gomber
Before we start celebrating prematurely over the sweep of the Mets on the road, let's remind ourselves that the Mets aren't very good, notably their bullpen, with one of the culprits designated for assignment after his glove-throwing, ejection-catalyzed meltdown. But Francisco Lindor is batting .211 with a .651 OPS in the leadoff spot; Pete Alonso is batting .231 with a .761 OPS; and Starling Marte looks like he can't cover the ground in right field anymore.
The Dodgers rolled to victory Wednesday and won each game of Tuesday's doubleheader by three runs (the first win coming in extra innings). But again, this is the Mets, who are now 22-33, 16 games out of first place in their division. Everyone take a breath.
And remember, we were just swept in Cincinnati prior to the Mets series--and this was to a last-place NL Central team.
This series, again, won't be much of a test; the Rockies are 20-35 and 14.5 games behind the Dodgers, sitting in last place in the NL West. I'm not going to this shortened homestand. We should be in good shape, right?

Dodgers were on the tarmac for 8 hours in NY. Landed at 7:30 this morning
yikes!
Thanks karen for the lineup and for that news; hadn't seen that!
@karen, I think they might have been on the tarmac Wednesday, arriving Thursday morning?
Arizona scored four in the ninth inning (three on a Joc Pederson HR!), but fell just short of a comeback to the Mets, losing 10-9.
Padres down 3-2 @ Royals, B7
Yankees @ Giants about to start.
@karen! changed your icon I see :)
@Saxy...I had to have my man this season!
4-0 Rox mid 4
wait, we're LOSING 4-0?!
what the hell is going on here?!
This team....They're either playing like the '27 Yankees or they really suck
B7 and we look like shit.
@karen 8:46p: totally agree, my friend
Dakota Hudson was 1-7 going into this game. He now has seven shutout innings against the Dodgers, and looks like an ace.
Padres came back to win. But the YankMes are up on the Giants.
Luxy with a leadoff double in the eighth!
I like how he just went with that ball rather than trying to overpower it. Oppo hit to the left field corner. Well done, Gavin!
Let's score him!
Miguel Rojas was extremely patient in that AB to work the walk.
Bud Black comes out to pull Hudson.
Hudson leaves with 7.0 IP, 4 H, 0 ER (so far; two men left on in the eighth). 1 BB, 3 Ks. 101 pitches.
Pages singles!
Rancho ardiendo for Mookie...Oh no. Run-scoring double play. Not good.
Dammit. Freeman Ks with men at the corners.
4-1 COL through 8.
Freddie got robbed on the first two strikes.
Saturday NYT crossword: 17:04!
Not my best, but pretty good. Got the bottom and had to work my way up to the top left.
I also finished the WSJ Friday, but can't find the keyword.
nice pickoff by Ramirez, which was good as the next batter tripled.
Welp, that wasn't good.
Jeez...All I can do is shake my head
that sucked
Ok, no more head-shaking! It's time for

Tyler Glasnow's Bobblehead looks like the best one they've done this season
I can't remember us having a 3 game homestand before
My mom just got the Glasnow bobblehead! Let’s gooooo
@karen 6.51p. Yeah it’s the stupid balanced schedule. I don’t like it, especially with not playing division rivals in September
@Saxy...Totally agree
Kike can’t get to that one at third, so Tovar gets a one-out double in the first.
@karen I’m glad you’re on tonight. I have to step away for dinner, but I will be back on later tonight. I’m grilling right now.
We need to hold our breath until Yoshie gets through the third inning
Rockies take the lead.
Giants losing early. Padres and Snakes won.
Rox look like they're playing t-ball. Tied 1-1
We will take it!
J Hey brings in Pages 2-1 Good Guys
We are winning. Amazing
I need to replace my barbecue burners, this is pathetic.
Geez, yoshi is struggling tonight.
Dodgers’ current lead in the division is five games.
4-1 LA! Bottom of the seventh.
Make them pay for that IBB, Luxy!
Lux works a walk.
Bases loaded for Pages, but he Ks on four pitches.
4-1 LA through 7.
let's go, evan phillips!
two out, t9, dodgers up 4-1

Sorry!
I'm not crazy about this lineup
Mook!!
Leadoff dinger for Mookie. 1-0 LA
Freddie!!
damn. dude almost caught it
Up 2-0 early!
Turned on the TV to see Austin Barnes actually get a hit. How crazy is that?!
3-0 LA, one out, Barnes on first, Mookie up.
Mookie runs it full.
Dammit, Mookie chases a high one that would have been a ball. Flies out to short.
Two out.
Shohei gets on due to catcher's interference. First and second, two out, Freeman up.
Colorado catcher Stallings couldn't find the ball that bounced ahead of the plate, so the two runners advance 90 feet.
IBB Freeman.
Oh, Stallings got hit on his right elbow as a result of Lambert's WP. So they pull Lambert, they're looking at Stallings, and Teoscar is coming up with rancho ardiendo.
3-0 Dodgers after 6
Anthony Molina in to pitch for the Rockies.
Two swings at the first pitch and grounds to third to end the inning. Come on, Teo!
Nice pitch by Michael Grove to get Stallings on the called strike three. Two out, T7
Kike with a decent play at third for the third out. To the stretch!
Vesia with a solid inning, sits Colorado down in order in the eighth!
rancho ardiendo for Freeman. one out in the bottom of the eighth.
Heyward on third, Barnes on second, Ohtani on first.
Freeman has a 1-1 count.
2-1 count
4-0 Dodgers after 8
Heyward with some smart baserunning, scores on a shallow fly ball to center.
Doyle is supposed to have a great arm but the throw home wasn't close.
4-0 LA
Hudson in for the ninth. McMahon reaches on a single to center on the first pitch.
Hudson gets a called strike 3, very late call from the ump but it was deserved.
Hudson shuts it down in 9 pitches. Boys win 4-0
Bryant GIDPs to end it! 6-4-3 double play
WIN
Day off tomorrow! Get some rest, SoSGers!
See y'all on Tuesday
