Tues 5.28 1p: Glasnow vs. Megill Tues 5.28 TBD: Stone vs. Quintana Wed 5.29 1p: Paxton vs. Peterson
Quick Game Thread today after that bender of a Memorial Day weekend. I had too much whisky! But while we were enjoying sunny skies here in Los Angeles on Monday, the Dodgers were getting rained out in Queens and now have to squish in a double-header on Tuesday.
Let's hope the extra day off, mulling over getting swept in Cincinnati over the weekend, gives the offense some time to figure out how to rebound against a struggling Mets squad. I'm not hopeful, by the way.

These games snuck up on us.
Glasnow is pitching pretty well, but gave up a two-run HR to Francisco Lindor.
Dodger bats look meek again. Teoscar almost had a HR, but it was ruled (after review) as a double, and even though there were none out, he didn’t score. So we are down 2-0 in the sixth.
Chris Taylor, now 0-for-3 with 3 Ks.
Time to send him down.
Dodgers just had their best chance in the eighth, benefitted by bad fielding by the Mets. But we still only mustered one run, with Smith striking out to end the inning.
Pathetic.
Ninth inning, down 2-1.
Teoscar with a leadoff single. But we still have 6-7-8 in the order, so 😬
Let’s start with weak-hitting Gavin Lux
Last three games, bottom of the order is 1-for-32
Lux singles. Teoscar to third.
Now here’s Taylor. 😬😬😬😬😬😬
Taylor is going to hit into a triple play here
Chris Taylor, ladies and gentlemen!!!
Taylor with a game-tying safety squeeze!
Taylor got lucky there, his bunt was In the air there, but it landed on the ground.
And of course, momentum comes to a screeching halt, with Heyward King and Pages GIDP.
That should read “Heyward k-ing”
As in, striking out.
2-2 going to B9
Hudson needs to relax with the gestures. he got lucky getting out of the ninth
Holy smokes. Daniel Hudson pulled off some sort of high-wire act in the ninth, with one out, bases loaded, and. 3-0 count on the batter. He got an infield fly and then another pop out to keep the game tied.
Mookie started the tenth with Pages on second, and singled him home. 3-2 so far, T10
Freeman HR. It’s 5-2 LA. One out (an Ohtani K)
Freddie bomb!!!
game 1 win. onto the next
Huge win for the Dodgers there. Let’s go

GAME 3
Betts 2B
Ohtani DH
Freeman 1B
Smith C
T Hernandez RF
Pages CF
K Hernandez 3B
Rojas SS
Vargas LF
Paxton P
In today's lineup, the worst batter is...Kiké Hernandez (.193 BA, .537 OPS, OPS+ 54)! Batting seventh.
Wow, that was fast. Big 3 go down on 8 pitches in the first.
Slappy solo shot in the second. Pages RBI single in the fourth. Ohtani RBI single in the fifth.
But Paxson can't even get into the fourth inning. He only lasted 50 pitches through three frames. Not sure what happened here...
But Elieser Hernandez gives up two quick runs (and leaves Lindor, who walked, on first), so here's Michael Grove, B5, none out. LA currently up 3-2.
JD Martinez ties it up. Darn it.
bullpen fucking up
ugh baserunning blunders
Tied through six. We escaped a little bit of a jam there in B6, but we also got thrown out at home to end the top of the sixth (grrrrrr).
@spank: it looked like a baserunning blunder on GameDay (at the end of the top of the sixth)--but i missed it. What happened?
Dammit, one-out Mookie walk and we can't do anything, again
Slappy with his second HR of the game!
4-3 LA
Heyward smokes one as well, he has a triple with one out. Lux in for Kike (who did go 2-for-3 today, not bad).
Lux works a walk, so men at the corners with one out. Then Lux steals second
Rojas singles in Heyward!
5-3 LA
Vargas with a two-run double to right!
7-3 LA, Vargas on second, one out.
Heyward with a HR to lead off the ninth. 10-3 LA!
Wow, I was caught in a meeting and missed the two-run Shohei Ohtani HR to make it 9-3 LA. Ohtani lifts his OPS back up over 1 (1.010) as a result of this 2-for-5 game.
WIN
SWEEP
