Mon 5.6 7p: Walker Buehler (0-0, -.--) vs. Roddery Muñoz (1-0, 2.45) Tue 5.7 7p: Yoshinobu Yamamoto (3-1, 2.91) vs. Edward Cabrera (1-1, 6.05) Wed 5.8 12n: Gavin Stone (2-1, 4.06) vs. Ryan Weathers (2-30, 4.54)
Hot off a surprising sweep of the Braves, the Dodgers welcome back Walker Buehler tonight after a 23-month absence and a long recovery. Buehler's recent minor-league starts have been promising, but the game has changed since his last stint, wronte the LAT's Jack Harris, not to mention the advent of the pitch clock which will ratchet up the pressure even more.
I'll be at the Stadium tonight, along with SoSG AC, to watch this one.
Welcome back, Walker Buehler!

Why are we always spotting the marlins first-inning runs
MAX!! 4-1 Boys
@Saxy...7:22.....I didn't notice the TWO so it doesn't count. Done and done
Lux for MVP!!
Okay just finished dinner.
Muncy with a grand slam and Lux with his first home run since 2022?! Let’s gooooooooooo
@karen: you’re hilarious letting slide my superstition fail! I goofed
8-1 LA through 5.
Yamamoto at 61 pitches here, early in the sixth.
Nice play by Mookie to get Chisholm for the first out.
Yamamoto gives up a HR to Bryan de la Cruz just afterward, so it's 8-2 LA, one out in the top of the sixth.
Outman makes the catch for the third out on Josh Bell. Chris Taylor was coming right at him from left, and luckily they didn't crash into each other.
NYT Wednesday crossword in 4:17! That's my new Wednesday best time.
Rojas PH for Betts, and Rojas smokes a single up the middle. Well done, MiggyRo!
Outman now 0-for-3 with a K from the nine-hole tonight.
Ohtani flies to left, stranding Rojas.
8-2 LA through six. Amazingly, the two teams have the same number of hits (four).
Yamamoto out to start the seventh, for the first time in his MLB career. He's at 77 pitches with the first-out K of Jesus Sanchez.
If we can get some length out of Yoshi, that would be great.
To the stretch, 8-2 Boys
Grounder to Muncy at third for the second out.
Fly out to CT3 in left for the third out. Way to go, Yoshi!
@karen! So, how have you been doing lately? What's going on
oh no, my wifi is failing here
Slappy GIDPs, erasing Freeman. And then Muncy Ks. Smith is 0-for-2 with a K and a GIDP, but he has a walk and two runs (also reached on a HBP).
Yoshi into the eighth! He gets the first out, and is at 86 pitches. No action in the Dodgers bullpen.
Here's Jazz Chisholm, 1-for-3 with a solo home run. He grounds into a force out to Rojas, who gets the out at second with a throw to Lux.
Two out.
Vesia is getting warmed up now.
Yamamoto gets Bryan De La Cruz with a fastball, swinging!
Eight innings, two runs, 97 pitches. Well done, Yoshi!
that's a wrap

Also transpiring at the same time as the Dodger game (12n): 2nd leg of the Champions League semifinals, Bayern @ Real Madrid!
I was so excited about Walker's return I forgot to say 'Hell yeah' Blake Train!
1-2-3 first inning for Stonestown!
Shohei is getting robbed on those two called strikes. But strike 3 was in the zone.
Ohtani thought both strikes 2 and 3 were balls. He was correct, the first time, for sure.
Freddie with a two-out single!
Freeman takes second on a balk. Teo still at the plate, 2-0 count.
Freeman takes third on a passed ball...and then Teo singles Freeman in!
1-0 LA.
Kike grounds out, so 1-0 LA through 1
Maxy got demoted to 6th in lineup.
I’m guessing it’s a matchup thing given he hit a grand salami yesterday.
Real Madrid and Bayern, 0-0 at half
All tied up. Grrrr
thats what i was thinking saxy about maxy but still not good enough to keep his spot even for one game.
1-1, mid-5
Andy Pages, leadoff single in the bottom of the fifth. Great AB.
And, MiggyRo GIDPs. Not good.
Mookie flies out. Weathers is keeping us down, man: 77 pitches through 5.1.
Here's Ohtani, 0-for-2 with 2 Ks
Ohtani is almost like he can't see the ball as well...maybe because it's a day game?
Well, at least Freddie is hitting. There's a double. But still two out.
TeO!!
Teo!! 3-1 LA
Teoscar just sneaks out a HR! It barely crested the wall, almost fooling Teoscar himself!
3-1 LA
@karen! @spank! WOOOOOO
Good thing Teo hit it out: Automatic out Kike grounds to second on the first pitch to end the inning.
3-1 LA, end 6
Are you kidding me?! Real Madrid was down 0-1 in the 88th minute. And they might have just scored a second goal, coming in extra time, to win it.
Daniel Hudson, trying to get that last out. Sanchez up with a 2-2 count
WIN
SWEEP
Homestand Sweep!!!
Pretty fine fielding play by Miguel Rojas at second to get that last out. He had to hustle on a dribbler in the infield.
that's a wrap
sweep baby!!
