Game 16 Thread: April 13 vs. Mets, 7p

Justin Wrobleski (1-0, 4.00) vs. David Peterson (0-2, 6.14).

Lost amidst all the saber-rattling over the Dodgers' spending (and success) is the fact that the New York Mets had the highest payroll in 2025. (Sure, the Dodgers assumed the payroll lead for the 2026 season, but don't say that Steve Cohen and the Mets didn't try.

Early on in this 2026 season, the Mets' $375M payroll does not seem to be yielding dividends, with the team in the cellar of the NL East (7-9). Juan Soto is on the IL with a calf strain.. Francisco Lindor is making gaffes in the field. And Bo Bichette, the Mets' key offseason signing, is off to a cold start (.235 BA, -0.1 WAR).

This does not make the Mets any less dangerous. But hopefully it makes for a positive series here at Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium (man, I can't even type that without cringing).
