Mon 8.17 6.30p: Ross Stripling (3-1, 3.97) vs. Justin Dunn (1-1, 4.85) Tue 8.18 4p: Tony Gonsolin (0-0, 0.00) vs. Marco Gonzalez (2-2, 3.97)
The Dodgers have won five in a row, including this weekend's sweep of the Angels on the road. Sunday's win even overcame some early game baserunning blunders by breaking out the whupping sticks for another four home runs (Dodgers lead the league with 43 HR). The Dodgers' +60 run differential is almost twice as much as the #2 team (Twins and Yankees, both tied at +35). And even resident LAT grump Dylan Hernandez posted a nice valentine column on the impact of Mookie Betts.
I honestly don't know what to think here. Years of disappointment have me steeled to what's to come. But here we are, almost halfway through the shortened season, and the Dodgers actually look...pretty good. I know this can't last, and honestly, I'm a little scared to even have a shred of happiness over what's transpired so far.
I guess you can say, I've been Gonsolin, being down don't bother me.

Don't understand why AJ didn't just take pitches there. He had a 3-1 count
Kenley coming in.
Kenley time

Bloop single. Crap.
Kenley had Moore 0-2 but he flares a pop-up to short right field for a leadoff single. Shit.
KJ looks flustered. Walks Kyle Lewis on 5 pitches. And here's Kyle Seager.
Home plate ump squeezed Kenley on a couple of those pitches. Didn’t get the high strike call. Walked him.

1-1 through 7. sounds like M's took an early lead, and Turner hit a solo shot to tie it.
Dee Gordon! I remember that guy. 0-for-2 so far, batting .119 this year.
Crawford walks, but Treinen comes in to K Moore. Two out, top 8
Holy cow, I wasn’t even close on my “game recap” from 6:14p. Scratch that. That wasn’t how the game played out at all.
