Tues 8/25 6:45p: Urias vs. Cueto Wed 8/26 6.45p: Kerhsaw vs. Gausman Thu 8/27 5p: Buehler vs. Webb
Halfway through the season, and the Dodgers are 22-8 (best record in baseball) with a league-high four game lead over their closest opponent. But those statistics are biased seeing how this year's geographically-managed schedule forbids us from playing anyone out of either the NL or AL West. So it's way too early to get cocky--thirty games in may be halfway through this insane MLB season, but there's still plenty of time for storylines to change.
Which brings us to this series in San Francisco, where the Giants play better (they're 8-6 at home vs. a 6-10 record on the road) and the seagulls can defacate on any of the few fans willing to embarrass themselves with a cardboard cutout (to be fair, they're only $99 each, a discount to the Dodgers' pricing). I'd like to get out of this series without getting shit on, either. In that way, at least, Hunter Pence is way ahead of everyone.

Turner gets a gift from yazstremski! He lets a turner fly ball drop for a double. Seager on third. Cody up with one out.
Official scorer gives JT a double
Bellinger flies to short right, no one advances. Boooo
Here’s max, batting .192
Happy birthday Max! Three-run HR!!!
Muncy 3-run HR in the 1st!
Julio continues to unimpress
And Urias gives it right back. Thanks Julio
3-3 through one.
Corey makes it 4-3 in the 3rd!
(Corey HR'd)
WP scores Turner from third! 5-3
Joc double makes it 6-3!
Criminy Max, get a damn glove on one of these
Max with a nice end to that double play, call on the field is overturned in the Dodgers’ favor. 6-5 LA, two out in the seventh
In the bottom of the seventh
Ferguson Ks Sandoval on four pitches for the third out!
6-5 LA through 7 full
Ferguson holds the 8th. Impressive work
Wow my feed is late. I saw Ferguson complete the inning.
Kenley finally blows one. Tie game in the 9th
Extras. JT on second, Cody up
Cody looks at strike three. Always enjoyable to watch
Muncy walk. 1st & 2nd, one out
That was weird
Passed ball + throwing error by rookie catcher Joey Bart allows Turner to score from second
RANCHO ARDIENDO
Will Smith strikes out (swinging!)
Alexander needs one more out. Man on third...
welp
Dammit. Great grab by JT but runner scores. Tied up, and Giants still batting
To the 11th!
Crazy way to score in the top of the 11th, Turner hits a dribbler that is fielded by the falling giants pitcher, who reaches out as he falls and JT leaps over his glove to reach first safely, allowing Will Smith to score from third. 8-7, T11, two out.
Turner scored the run in the 10th on an equally crazy play, E2 allowing him to score
That was also weird
Goddammit
What’s also weird is the other Sons aren’t commenting. And they aren’t playing MPQ
Giants tie it up. One out RBI single for Longoria.
WELP
Shit.
The worst part was, I held out the whole night and didn’t drink a beer. I was going to reward myself when the Dodgers won.
Moral of the story: always drink that beer.
That feels like exactly the kind of game that will knock us out of the playoffs

Oh wow we are already up 1-0, on a second-inning Joc HR.
Now it's top 4, Joc on second (he just doubled), Will Smith up with two out. 1-0
Ferguson only went one inning. Doc uses "the opener"!
Will Smith doubles! Joc scores. 2-0 LA
Top of the seventh. Rick Monday calls Charley out for saying the Giants are at risk of their first shutout doubleheader loss since the 1950/ or something like that. Totally agree with Monday on this one—KJ has better be on today.
2-0, Bottom of the seventh (last licks for the giants given the crazy 2020 season rules)
