Random rantings and ravings about the Los Angeles Dodgers, written by a small consortium of rabid Dodger fans. With occasional comments on baseball, entertainment, pop culture, and life in general.
Eric Stults (4-1, 4.29) vs. Ryan Dempster (3-3, 4.99).
COMMENTS: The Curse of Marisa Miller: It's on. You don't get to make bodily contact, however fleeting, with a Victoria's Secret/Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and not pay the price. And today the crows come home to roost. Whatever that means. You've been warned, Ryan Dempster.

Jackie Chan was great and all, but c'mon! I think the players would agree with us on this one.
UPDATE:
We at SoSG are huge fans of lists. And hot chicks. Combine the two and, well, we're in heaven. Last year it was the Maxim Hot 100 that fueled our Abes vs Babes feature; this year, it's AskMen.com's Top 99 Women 2008 Edition that provides argument fodder.
The men's interest site has attempted to provide a patina of respectability to their babe list by going beyond looks:
In casting their votes, readers are asked to look beyond sex appeal and beauty to pick women who have the characteristics they value in a potential companion, like intelligence, humor, charisma, and ambition.
"Since none of you stands a chance in hell of ever meeting any of these women, just vote for who you'd like to bang."
The result is an annual list that acts as the definitive gauge for identifying what modern men desire most in their female companions.
"Boobs."
On with the top ten! Apparently a lot of voters are on the Victoria's Secret mailing list (all links SFW...barely):
| '08 rank | name | '07 rank | expert analysis |
| 1 | Katherine Heigl | (39) | A power surge worthy of the '91 worst-to-first Braves. |
| 2 | Alessandra Ambrosio | (6) | First, her name means, like, food of the gods. Second, how is any woman hotter than her? Except my wife! Hi honey! |
| 3 | Kate Beckinsale | (16) | Tepid movie output belies rise into top ten. |
| 4 | Eva Mendes | (45) | Another impressive mover, but expect her to trend downward following recent admission into rehab. |
| 5 | Jessica Alba | (3) | Pregnancy announcement puts kibosh on millions of fantasies; will be out of top ten next year. |
| 6 | Scarlett Johansson | (2) | Falls four notches, yet hotness completely unabated. Go figure. |
| 7 | Jessica Biel | (5) | Esquire's "Sexiest Woman Alive" in 2005 is AskMen.com's "Seventh Sexiest Woman Alive" in 2008. At least she's still alive. |
| 8 | Rihanna | (20) | Another surprise top ten entry, this Fleetwood Mac song is the only singer in the top ten (not including "Scarlett Sings Tom Waits" (seriously)). |
| 9 | Marissa Miller | (12) | Ridiculously hot and...married? Yet she moves up in ranking. What is wrong with you people? |
| 10 | Adriana Lima | (4) | This list obviously compiled pre-Super Bowl, during which Adriana caused the loins of men worldwide to simultaneously combust. |
