Lost in all of Craig Counsell's yipping about Shohei Ohtani's roster spot is the fact that Ohtani isn't playing much of a role as a hitter, batting .237 with a .794 WAR (yesterday, 0-for-3 with 3 Ks). Couple that with slumps from Teoscar Hernandez, Kyle Tucker, and Andy Pages, and the Dodgers are supremely screwed.
The bullpen let us down yesterday but the truth is, this team is reeling. When is Mookie back again?
