Fri 10.1 Kershaw vs. Lauer Sat 10.2 Urias vs. Burnes Sun 10.3 TBD vs. TBD
Well, this is it. With three games left and two games back, the divisional lead isn't going to happen. So we may as well have fun this weekend and just make sure the offense continues its mashing ways. The Wild Card game, with Adam Wainwright, awaits.

Kershaw coming out of the game due to an apparent injury after 1.2 innings. Not good.
I missed it. Oh no.
Trea turner’s GS was key though
Pads still are bad. Gnats win.

Pods win in 10! They still suck though. Game 163 is still a possibility!
Great news Q7!!! Now my brain doesn't have to keep telling me "Be strong Karen". Now it is telling me "Be brave Karen".
And word on Kersh is he's out for October. Also, this is his Free Agency year.
Be brave Karen.
Be brave indeed karen! Good advice for all of us.
Joe Davis back in the booth after his Covid battle. He looks like he's lost weight to me, and that surprises me because he wasn't out that long. I'm sure he tested clean because Nomar is sitting in Orel's spot which is close quarters to say to say the least.
Orel and I are at the game!!!
Brews strike first....1-0 going to bottom of first.
DAMN YOU SAX!!! You better have brought the famous SoSG juju with you! Say hi to Orel for me!
JT hits a 3 run homer! Good Guys up 3-1 still B1.
Burnes out after just two innings? We’ll take it!
POLLOCK POWER! 6-1!
Seager staying hot and hits one out. 7-1 now.
Uriás gets a great ovation as he leaves the game in the 7th with a 7-1 lead. Up to the bullpen to secure his 20th win.
THAT'S BIG LEAGUE BASEBALL BABY!
Boys win 8-2
Julio gets his 20th win
SoSG Orel and we’re very happy with tonight’s game. Not sure why julio was in for so long but his pitch count was low and he earned the win. Congrats Urias!
GAME THREE
1 Mookie Betts RF
2 Corey Seager SS
3 Trea Turner 2B
4 Justin Turner 3B
5 Max Muncy 1B
6 Will Smith C
7 AJ Pollock LF
8 Chris Taylor CF
9 Walker Buehler P
Interesting. Doc is going for it.
GAME 162
Mookie Betts RF
Corey Seager SS
Trea Turner 2B
Justin Turner 3B
Max Muncy 1B
Will Smith C
AJ Pollock LF
Chris Taylor CF
Walker Buehler RHP
Doc said if there is a game 163, Scherzer would start and he’s playing to win. Everyone will be available. LFG!!!
So I guess tiebreaker game would go tomorrow (Mon 10/4), and the NL Wild Card game would be Wed 10/6. NLDS starts Friday 10/8.
Not sure how all of this lines up for us with just Scherzer, Urias (who pitched last night), and Buehler (who goes today). Especially with Kershaw out, the only one left is Gonsolin, right?
Friars are starting a rookie who is making only his fifth major league start.
Walker Ks the side to start the first.
Oh no what happened to Muncy?!
To take our minds off Max lets all remember the last time we all saw Willy Adames last year. He of course was the last out, that beautiful K, that Julio tossed at him for the last out in Game 6 giving our Dodgers the 2020 Championship.
Giants score 2, but Padres got 1 right back
@Sax...Peterson ran into his outstretched arm, and was called out for interference. Max was obviously in pain and Joe and Nomar said it could be his wrist, arm or shoulder. The Dodger faithful gave him a standing O along with chanting his name as he was led off the field.
Thanks karen. Just saw the replay. That did not look good.
Meanwhile SD is rolling over, walking the bases loaded (including walking the pitcher).
Mookie walks to bring in a run. Still loaded for Seager now. 1-1.
Infield single and we have the lead! 2-1!
Trea GS. Boom
We may not win the division but we are hot. Let’s just pray for Max Muncy.
Brewers confidence going into the playoffs, down. Dodgers confidence going into the playoffs, way up!
Leading 6-1, both Turners come out of the game.
@Sax....It seems to me that the Friars are just calling this one in. Isn't there supposed to be some kind of sportsmanship rule that if a team is out of it and they are playing a team still in the hunt they are supposed to field their best chance to win? I guess this is just another example of why I hate the Ogres of the North and the Mutants in LoCal.
Kirsten Watson gave the moderately helpful update that it is an injured elbow for max muncy
@karen: yeah I hear you, except the Padres have had no fight in hem the last 6 weeks, and the brewers also pulled Corbin burnes after two frames last night.
Maybe the Padres playing “all out” is one run scored and getting shellacked
Man on third, two out, CT3 up
CT3 walks for the second time today. Here’s Beaty
Beaty’s walk up song: alt-J’s Left Hand Free That’s pretty alternative!
Beaty with an RBI single!
7-1 LA
Boy, this series was costly. We lose Kerch AND Muncy. Ugh
Gnats win and we are officially a wild card team.
SWEEP!
It all comes down to Wednesday. 😬
So here's the deal. We don't have to travel to Ogreville and play a very stressful game. Instead we get to have a couple of days off and the Cards have to come to us. We play at 5PM on Wednesday and everything unfolds from there. I'm proud of our team. The baseball gods have placed all kinds of detours in our way and we met the challenge every time. It looks bad for Max Muncy (elbow) so I'm thinking for anyone that is inclined, to say a prayer for him.
