As per today's LAT:
“They are Dave’s decisions with [pitching coach] Mark Prior and [game planning coach] Danny Lehmann and [bench coach] Bob Geren in the dugout,” Friedman said. “We do a lot of work to prepare ahead of time to understand how certain relievers match up against certain hitters.
“Games play out in so many different ways that it’s impossible to anticipate it before, so those decisions are made in the dugout, as they should be, because so many things have changed in the two, three, four hours from going through it through the game.”Friedman on Wednesday addressed the two controllable variables in the Dodgers’ demise. First, who exactly made the decisions to have [Max] Scherzer and Julio UrĂas pitch in relief? Was it the front office or manager Dave Roberts?
I have been pretty zen since the Dodgers' loss in the 2021 NLCS, though not quite calm enough to write a post yet. But this article just got me bummed out all over again.

Sounds like Friedman tried to back track throwing them under the bus there at the end. I haven’t watched any of the World Series. I hope the cold beers help ease the pain Sax.
That, and other alcohol, has helped.
Congrats Atlanta and thanks for beating the Cheaters. No one weeps for their loss.
Joc was celebrating with his Dodgers World Series ring on! Love it!
I hate it when crap gets thrown between the front office and the dugout. The Dodgers have been so good for so long operating like a well oiled machine. They're better than this.
This is the first time I've mustered myself up to peek back into the end of our season. Congrats and HUGE thanks to the Atlanta Braves for their World Series win and especially for dropping the cheaters like dirt in their house. I am so happy for Yung Joc, 2 years in a row young man, that's quite an achievement.
