Monday 4/8 4.45p: Hyun-Jin Ryu (2-0, 2.08) vs. Miles "I'm not Spider-Man" Mikolas (0-1, 7.20) Tuesday 4/9 4.45p: Ross Stripling (0-0, 2.31) vs. Dakota Hudson (0-1, 5.40) Wednesday 4/10 4.45p: Kenta Maeda (2-0, 3.09) vs. Jack Flaherty (0-0, 3.86) Thursday 4/11 10:15a: Walker Buehler (1-0, 6.75) vs. Michael Wacha (0-0, 1.54)
These are honestly the most bizarre game times I have seen in years. What the hell is going on here?!
I mean, besides the Dodgers going 8-2 on the season, and now 2-2 in games in which Joe Kelly appears (Kelly actually picked up the win Sunday in Colorado, with his ERA lowering to 14.40 on the year). The Dodgers have mashed at least one HR in all 10 games, all of which have been against the super-cush NL West. Now we head to St. Louis for four against our first non-NL West opponent of the season, the 4-5 Cardinals. Let's keep on mashing, Dodgers!

JT gets a breather.
mash mash mash mash mash
We can’t overcome the opponent AND Joe Kelly each game
STL 4, LA 3, mid 7
I hate Joe Kelly. Can we trade him already?
Ryu removed from the game yesterday with a left groin strain. Kershaw can't get back soon enough.
GAME TWO
Pederson LF
Turner 3B
Bellinger RF
Pollock CF
Muncy 1B
Hernández 2B
Taylor SS
Barnes C
Stripling P
Can Joe Kelly take the groin strain please
T1: Pederson flies out, Turner singles and advances on a wild pitch. Bellinger with a 3-2 count...
Bellinger with a single on a weak breaking ball. Orel can't believe they threw three breaking balls in a row to Cody, but Cody didn't get an RBI.
Men at corners, one out, Pollock up.
Pollock with a pretty bad swing for strike 2
Pollock Ks. Two out.
Muncy at the plate.
Muncy Ks. Left men at the corners.
Here comes Ross.
Gotta work deep tonight Chicken Strips.
I typed that comment just before Orel said it.
Two quick outs then a double and a walk. Molina up now.
And he drives them both in with a double to deep left. Crap.
After a review, only one run comes in. Ground rule double. Second and third two out.
Next pitch, Strip gets a ground out. Down 1-0 going to the second.
Boss Stripling with an efficient second inning. Top of the third now.
And, we're already losing after 1
Hey Quad! Thanks for helping me out so much on the mother site. Really appreciate it...
Anytime Sax!
Chicken Strip in a bit of trouble. Two on one out in the third.
LA Kings didn’t win the Draft Lottery. They dropped the to fifth pick.
Molina with another double. This time it is a 2 run double. 3-0 Cards.
Dammit Chicken Strips!!!
Singles for Muncy and Kiké. Ducks on the pond for CT3!
Two down. Strip up with the bases loaded.
Looks like today is gonna be one of those games where we strand everyone.
And, Magic steps down as lakers president. Thanks for botching the AD trade, Magic!
Chickkkkkken Strip strikes out the side in the fourth.
Two out double for Bellinger. Two hits for him tonight n
E5 and we’ve got two on for Muncy.
Aha, so this is the “lose a shitty game and fall back to desolation” game. Got it.
Muncy walks. Loaded for Kiké now. New pitcher coming in.
Let’s see if Kiké can change that.
Nope.
Goldy hits a solo bomb to make it 4-0 through five.
10 LOB.
Why do we ever pitch to Goldy? Ever? He has 32 HRs against us now, more than any other active player. Like, a lot more.
Top of the eighth, still 4-0.
WTF just happened with Ozuna?
Ozuna badly misreads a fly ball in left and Kiké gets a gift double.
Our bullpen was laughing at that one.
Seager pinch hitting with two on.
Seager Ks and Freese lines out. Two more left on base. Middle of eight.
Game 2 loss. No clutch hitting.
As happy as I was after the first 10, I'm f'ing pissed off at this team now.
Chicken Strips, Kelly, LOB--it's maddening. This Cards team is a .500 team and is not that good. And we're making them look like fucking gods.
On the bright side, Kershaw's rehab outing went well and I'm guessing he'll start for the Dodgers on Monday night.
But I'm not real excited about Kershaw's velocity topping out around 88. Let's hope that was just a slow minor league radar gun.
GAME THREE
Pederson LF
Seager SS
Turner 3B
Bellinger 1B
Muncy 2B
Verdugo RF
Taylor CF
Barnes C
Maeda P
Joc with a leadoff single. Turner seeing 12 pitches so far.
Built the pitch count but ended up with a GIDP.
Kenta with an efficient 1-2-3 first.
CT3 down swinging to end the second.
Ozuna doubles and steals third. The scores on a weak ground out. 1-0 Cards.
Then*
Turner hit one to the center field wall for an out. Bellinger followed with a bullet caught by Goldy. Muncy with a K to end the top of the fourth.
Ozuna gets a basehit to right but Verdugo nails him at first after a wide turn. Runner on third with two out.
Fowler dunks one into short right. 2-0 Cards.
Muncy with a nice play to throw out Wong sends us to the fifth. Still down 2-0.
GET SOME DAMN HITS DODGERS!!!
Narrator: In the fifth inning, they did not.
JOCPOP!!
Joc has hit it pretty well all three times up now. His second hit of the day gets us on the board. 2-1 in the sixth.
5-1 Cards and we're not even out of the bottom of the sixth.
We're gonna get swept here.
@Q7 6.10P: GET SOME DAMN HITS DODGERS!!! (I agree with Quad)
Muncy with a solo bomb makes it 5-2.
dodgers.com headline: Dodgers snap scoreless streak
Yeah, that's the key takeaway from our third straight spanking.
Early game tomorrow, boys and girls!
GAME FOUR
Pederson LF
Turner 3B
Seager SS
Pollock CF
Muncy 2B
Freese 1B
Hernandez RF
Gale C
Buehler P
Somehow, we're up 2-0 in the top of the second.
Sac fly by Turner in the first to score Joc. Freese HR in the second. I'll take it!
That leaves Turner as the last opening day position player without a homerun.
BUEHLER?? BUEHLER!!
Walker Buehler has more HRs than Justin Turner. 3-0 Dodgers.
409 foot blast to right center for Buehler! I need to find video of this!
And the Cards score 4 in the bottom of the second. 4-3 Cards. Blah!
Going through the feed on Gameday, apparently Seager left the game with an injured leg. WTF!?
Kike's homerun was hit using Chase Utley's bat. Like father like son.
And the sweep is complete.
