It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone."
Thanks for this.
I hope the Gnats bought Bud a nice going-away gift, since he essentially handed them a title with the 2nd Wild Card.
Even their 2012 run was impacted by the 2nd WC. Their path would have been completely different. They would have had to face the Nats in the Division Series (since Nats and Braves are in the same division), and then, if they won, they'd have to face the the winner of Braves/Reds.
It's like deja vu all over again.
Why did I even come to work today?
Someone left an empty mumm Giants champagne bottle on my desk. I tossed it so hard in the garbage it broke. My luck I'll be sent to anger management classes. Hopefully I get Professor Spanky.
Let's go for last place next year. Apparently, winning your division doesn't matter.
