So Freddie is a Cookie Monster (or as my daughter used to say a 'Cookie Monstro') and is having Snickerdoodles and Chocolate Chip Cookies delivered for the Boys everyday. He commented that nobody is unhappy when eating a cookie and it's the way to win the West. Is it just me or is this guy not just a great ball player but also a really good and decent guy??
I wouldn't care if Bauer pitches for Dodgers again or not.

Leadoff LA is showing highlights from Clayton's record breaking night and I just can't help it, I get all teary. My former father-in-law was the head of homicide in the Palm Springs PD and he was a strong, solid man. He was from Chicago and was a huge Bears fan and I remember him telling me once that the only things that could bring him to tears were sports related. So I guess if he got teary it's okay that I do!!
Clayton was quoted last night as saying "I wanted to brush it off but the fans wouldn't let me" and "I didn't know it would mean so much for the fans". While his teammates on the field applauded Austin Barnes refused to get into the squat and Jonathan Schoop didn't get into the box to make sure the moment was honored. So cool...I just love this kind of crap!!!
