Mon 6.17: Kenta Maeda vs. Beede
Tue 6.18: Clayton Kershaw vs. Anderson
Wed 6.19: Rich Hill vs. Pomeranz
Thu 6.20: Walker Buehler Julio Urias vs. Bumgarner
It's going to be difficult to improve upon our last four-game series (three of four at home vs. the Cubs, spoiled only by a game-winning ninth-inning Anthony Rizzo HR in Saturday's game). At 48-24, the Dodgers are at least six wins ahead of any other NL team, so what more could we ask of them? Kenley Jansen pitching to form? Starting pitchers not having a shaky first inning? Offense showing up consistently throughout the series?
At this point I'm just nitpicking. We're 10.5 games up on Colorado and Arizona, and a stunning 16.5 games up on the Giants (the largest lead in the league).
But I'll be there Thursday to watch Walker Buehler Julio Urias duel that other guy, just to make sure:

I'm still buzzed off of Sunday's win, taking the series--and taking the season series vs. the Cubs. Given our record at home, that could be critical later on in the season.
Game 1
Dodgers down 2-1 through 4
Joc Pederson is in a horrible slump.
Kike Hernandez is simply awful at the plate this year.
3-2 SF through 8
After Joc got an infield single, Turner was jokingly asking for the ball.
Our offense sucked last night without JT (and Seager)
Game 2
Pederson leadoff HR
Now B7, we tack on two more to make it 5-0. Most surprising is that Barnes actually got a RBI there
Kershaw pulled after seven full. 3 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 Ks
9-0 LA
Pretty different game from last night
I guess Kiké is going to stick with the dirty helmet again.
Floro with 3 strikeouts in the eighth! Nice!
Joe Kelly in for the ninth with a 9-0 lead.
Kelly with a clean ninth. Win!!
Awesome win for the good guys, especially if this is a slump-buster
In hindsight, I was being generous with the "clean inning" for Kelly. He walked the first batter. But he also caught Oyster Pubes looking for a strikeout!
Totally on the same page as you Sax. Joc and Kike with HRs last night. Would be great to see them hitting again.
Game 3
Hill vs. Pomeranz. Pomeranz has pitched against us 2x this year, both ND, but the Giants are 2-0 in those two games. Pomeranz has gone 5 innings each time.
Hill beat the Giants in his one game against them this year, back on June 8 (five innings; Dodgers won 7-2).
Dodgers 49-25
Giants 31-40 (16.5 GB)
Rich Hill: 4-1, 2.60
Drew Pomeganate: 2-6, 6.43
Game 3 lineup
Kike 2B
Turner 3B
Freese 1B
Bellinger RF
Taylor SS
Verdugo CF
Martin C
Garlick LF
Hill P
Despite Rich Hill’s early departure (after the first, with discomfort in his forearm), the dodgers relievers are holding on well. 7-2 LA at the stretch. CT3 has two HR.
Dodgers win 9-2. Second nine-run game in a row.
Bellinger got a HR as well!
Good night everyone
Verdugo is going to have to go skiing before every game now!
GAME 4
Sax will be at the Stadium tonight! Urias takes Buehler's place.
Nice addition to the game thread!
Hernández CF
Turner 3B
Freese 1B
Muncy 2B
Taylor SS
Garlick LF
Verdugo RF
Barnes C
Urías P
Kiké is 24 for 48 in his career against Bumgarner.
Deiter is winning the Muncy vs Bumgarner battle. So far he’s played “Under the Sea”, “Cake by the Ocean”, and “The Ocean” during the at bats.
Muncy got an RBI in the first inning. 1-0 Dodgers in the fourth.
Garlick and Barnes with 2 run HRs in the fourth! 5-0!
BASES LOADED FOR MUNCY!!!
Muncy pops out. Dammit!
CT3 with an RBI makes it 6-0! Bumgarner leaves the game to a montage of water based songs.
Garlick with his third RBI makes it 7-1.
Chicken Strip gives up 3 runs in the seventh. It’s now 7-4.
Barnes with a double in the seventh. He’s a triple short of the cycle.
JOCPOP!!
Third night in a row with 9 runs.
Joc stays in the game to play first base. And the first batter hits it right to him. Huge laugh from Cody Bellinger in right. Joc is using Cody’s glove too.
Josh Sborz making his MLB debut in relief.
Sborz gets a 1-2-3 inning. Going to the bottom of the eighth.
Sborz comes back out for the ninth and doesn’t do as well. Gives up two runs without getting an out. 9-6 now and Kenley is coming in.
It’s now 9-7 with nobody out and a runner on.
9-8 now! Still nobody out. Two on. Shit!
Gnats try to bunt and Bellinger guns to third to get the lead runner. Being challenged.
One out!
Oyster Pubes up now.
Long fly ball to left center is caught by Verdugo. Two down!
Belt up with two on. Butt clenched.
Belt flies out to deep right. 9-8 win! Holy crap!
I confess we left early for that one. Had no idea it was going to get so harrowing! Watched the final outs on TV. Glad we won.
