Fri 5.17 4p: Rich Hill vs. DeSclafani Sat 5.18 1p: Walker Buehler vs. Mahle Sun 5.19 10a: Hyun-Jin Ryu vs. Roark
In a series marked by ever-earlier game start times, the Dodgers see the Reds for the second time this year. And this time, the Dodgers can't say "I see you" to Matt Kemp, who has already been let go by Cincinnati (the Dodgers are still on the hook for $3.5M of the $21.75M Kemp receives in salary this year).
But the Dodgers will see former Dodger Yasiel Puig, who despite beating the Cubs with a walk-off recently, still has struggled to a measley .206 BA this year. Now that we've got an excitable outfielder of our own with a more potent bat, to replace Puig's spot, it appears (early on) that the Dodgers may have timed this deal with the Reds pretty well. Then again, another series sweep would also make the point just fine.

6-0 win for Game 1. Four Dodgers HRs, including Bellinger.
Rich Hill had a great game
Game 2 is a 0-4 shutout loss. Buehler pitches well but the Dodgers go 0-for-4 with RISP and 9 LOB.
Holy cow. I wake up, and Game 3 is about to start!

2-0, mid 6.
Ryu just made the third out with rancho ardiendo.
Verdugo had a run-scoring double early, and Turner had a run-scoring FC early. Ryu is dealing.
Dodgers go up 4-0 on a seventh-inning, two-out Cody HR. Now it's 5-0 with an unusual HR from Russell Martin!
Ryu goes 7 full: 5 H, 0 ER, 1 BB and 5 Ks. Awesome. His ERA is 1.52 now.
Ferguson starts the bottom of the eighth.
Good thing we scored three more in the top of the ninth, because Yimi Garcia let Jose Peraza have a two-run HR in the bottom of the ninth, as well as PH Derek Dietrich with a solo shot. Garcia gives up four hits and three ER in 1.1 IP.
Dodgers win, 8-3, despite being out-hit by the Reds 9-6.
Series win.
