We can officially say "Fuck the Cubs" now, right? Nobody has to feel bad for them or their fans anymore. They are now in the Fuck You bin with the Giants, Cards, Sox, Yanks, Phils, Mets, Reds, Rockies, Padres, Marlins, Giants, Brewers, Barves, Snakes and the rest
@FB, Oh hell yeah. That's it, I'm done with any sympathy--such as it was. Especially since they're gonna be competitive, and likely win a couple more like the Red Sox did, over the next few years. Fuck those guys with a rolled-up deep dish pizza. Anyone who remembers the Bulls, White Sox, and Blackhawks ending their droughts will tell you how annoying they are. And EVERYONE, no matter where you live in the country, has ex-Chicago neighbors. You'd think hockey was invented on Lake Michigan the way Blackhawks fans think of themselves and their historically shitty franchise. Jesus, you'd think Mike Ditka stormed the beaches of Normandy, built the Sears Tower single-handedly and created a football dynasty the way Chicagoans still talk about him. The guy won ONE Super Bowl--thanks to Buddy Ryan's defense. Chicago fans are every bit as provincial and annoying as Boston fans, they just have (somewhat) less grating accents.
Congrats to David Ross I guess. Otherwise, meh.
Cliffy, you are a wise man

Good luck in Philly, Howie. You weren't going to help us much next year. You always seemed liked a good dude
