Mon 4/19 7p: Dustin May vs. Justus Sheffield Tues 4/20 1p: Julio Urias vs. Marco Gonzales
The Dodgers dropped the finale with San Diego but still won the series, and their 13-3 record is still best in baseball. So now it's up to Seattle for a quick two-game turnaround against...the second-best team in the American League, the 10-6 Mariners (who lead the AL West by a half-game over the Angels). And yet just one week ago, the Mariners were 24th out of 30 in ESPN's MLB power rankings, and now sit 2.5 games ahead of the then #4 Houston Cheaters (in fourth place)!
Even the local Seattle newspaper is aghast ("Just like weather, clouds could form on Mariners’ season, so enjoy it while you can"), reminding us that the M's weren't picked to win more than 80 games this year, they've lost starter James Paxson for the season already, and 2020 AL Rookie of the Year Kyle Lewis hasn't played a game yet this season (right knee injury from spring training). Lewis could be back for the Dodgers games. (We still won't have Bellinger, of course; and now Gavin Lux is also on the 10-day IL.)
I'm still just chuckling about the Mariners' 2021 logo, #SeaUsRise, which happens to be the same name as a Florida non-profit using music to address and motivate global climate action. Is a rising SEA supposed to be a good thing, or a bad thing? I'm totally confused now.

Dodgers are 0-1 with Sheldon Neuse in the lineup. Let's hope that trend changes today.
Yikes we are already down 3-0 and we aren’t even out of the bottom of the second
Mookie with a two-out double, then Seager HR. 3-2 Seattle
Someone please teach Will Smith how to hit.

Big David Price in for May, to start the sixth.
Seager can’t hold the damn ball. We don’t get out of the inning.
Lots of Dodger fans at Safeco Field!

Right forearm. Don’t think it’s broken but Mookie crumpled at the plate.
It's the curse of Sheldon Neuse.

Betts out of the lineup, probably due to that plunking last night. Dammit
After the past two games and two innings of this game, we look like we're regressing back to our "bad-against-lefties" days.
Pollock with a double and Rios moves him over. Runner on third with one down. Barnesy up.
CT3 was just robbed by nice diving play by Seattle's second baseman. Damn!
Corey "I Always Swing At the First Pitch" Seager comes through with the RBI hit! 1-0 Dodgers!
Top of the 6th, still 1-0.
Urias through six innings with just one infield hit given up.
VGon in to pitch the 8th. Works around a walk. Still 1-0 Dodgers.
BTW...Only 3 hits total in this game so far. Two for the Dodgers, one for Seattle.
Final line on Urias: 7IP BB H 11K
Jumbo Jack!
CT3 with a walk and stolen base. It's GEICO time! Kenley warming up.
Seager flies out to center. CT3 advances to third. One down.
Great time to break out of your mini slump JT!
Nope. Grounder to third and CT3 is cut down at home.
Jeez CT. Out at home? Not good
Come on Max, you gotta swing at one of those.
1-0 LA going to the bottom of the ninth.
😬
Couple of wide strikes called against Muncy to end the top of the ninth. 1-0 with Kenley coming in.
Would have really liked to have at least one insurance run.
Come on Dodgers, I want to enjoy my Jumbo Jack tomorrow
Two down! Kenley's cutter is looking good today.
Kenley hit 97 on his first pitch to Seager! He's pumped up!
WIN!!!
Nasty slider to finish off Seager! Sweet!
KJ with 2Ks in the one-inning save!!! Wow
We’d better spend the off-day in the batting cage
