HOT STOVE IS HOT III: The Next Generation" Looks like Matty is gone too along with FedEx for Jasmine Guy, Scott Weiland and an Elf
crazy crazy shit
So they've brought on some short term money to get rid of some long term money, filled in the infield holes, cleared some of the outfield logjam, fixed the catcher situation and added a 4th starter, all in the matter of a day
I'm glad we're the "funny blog" and don't have to really break down the Kemp trade. Even though I can see some of the business sense of it, my heart is still saying MOTHERFUCKING FUCK THIS SHIT MATTY NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Me too, Gnomes :(
I know he cost a lot of money and they were selling high and he was a pain in the clubhouse but I will miss seeing him sock a bunch of dingers :(
In my 30+ years of cheering for this team, there haven't been many batters I have gotten excited to watch, the stop-everything-when-they're-at-bat hitters. It was Piazza to a lesser extent, but the first one was really Manny, especially those first 2 roid-fueled months, then Matty in 2011 and a few times after that, then Puig. With the other 99% of Dodger hitters, you knew they were going to make an out with a hit being a nice surprise. With Matty (when he was on) you expected something great every time. I will really miss that. I hope Yasiel can get himself healthy and disciplined so he can get back to that level. It doesn't come around that often.
Fuck the business sense of the Kemp trade. When he's healthy, he's a monster. I'm going to miss his swing and I'm going to hate watching him hit homers into the pavilion against us.
Love Matt. Hate his defense. The nerds are remaking the defense! Hooooooray!
