We had sparks of offense in the final game of an otherwise disappointing 2-4 road trip, which served to waste some outstnading pitching performances throughout both series. Now we come back to Chavez Ravine--where Kyle Tucker is even worse, mind you--and see if we can maintain our thin hold on the second playoff spot (a half-game over the Braves, who inexplicably lost to the Giants in a makeup game Monday).
We'll see!

With a game thread picture like that, I had to post the lineup.
Smith, Rushing, and Wrobo activated off various IL's. Benny Biceps DFA'd and Alek Thomas optioned back to AAA. Hooray for September!

Now down 5-0 in the third, thanks to Lauer
Dodgers digging themselves into a deep hole. 5-0 Cards T3.
7-3 Cards on bases clearing pop up,
9-3 after four innings. Yuck.
And we’re down by a touchdown again. 10-3.
Wrobo’s back and gives up the 5th HR of the game for the Cards. 11-4.
